Sweet Diplomacy is a gluten free only bakery in Los Altos. We’ve been here multiple times to get GF goodies.
4.7 on Google, 4.4 on Yelp. From cakes to cupcakes to cookies, everything is gluten free. Prices are not cheap, but the quality is high. Must goto spot for GF Folks. Far better than the one or two offerings at Jane the Bakery, Mariposa Bakery, or the Mill.

Carpe Diem Cake (Gluten-Free & Vegan) – “Portland” Chocolate Brown Sugar Cake ($48) is better than most gluten free cakes. Perfect for those with strict dietary guidelines. A bit on the sweet side and not that moist. 8/10
The Diplomatic Cookie ($5) Chocolate Chip Cookie (Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Vegan) – Most GF cookies are powdery and gross. This one is one of the better ones. Pretty thick with good texture and flavor. 8.5/10
Muffin – Lemon Poppy Seed (Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free) ($6) is a less sweet option. Also one of the top GF muffins. Not powdery, and not overly sweet. 8.5/10

Not what I thought it was going to be. The cupcakes are dense. A little on the dry side. The chocolate frosting was too intense for my liking, but the vanilla frosting was very good. The chocolate cupcake had the best flavor of the few I tried.
I like the aesthetic of the shop and the employees were very nice. I was just surprised that the cupcakes weren’t light and fluffy. I like that they weren’t overly sweet, but the texture was disappointing.

Everything we tried was amazing. The lemon coffee cake is the best dessert we tried and in close second is the lemon thyme cookie. The matcha was great (good color), comes unsweetened which is perfect, and the coffee is really good. Very surprised that these are gluten free, it tastes amazing.

This is the best gluten free bakery I’ve gone to and we’ve been picking up treats since shortly after they opened in 2020! We’ve ordered baby shower cupcakes, birthday cakes, walked in and they changed the icing color for a baby gender reveal video, and we’ve pretty much tried every baked good they make. We absolutely love the atmosphere, customer service and of course, the delicious gluten free treats! I truly can’t recommend them enough.

I decided to try this place for my fiancé’s birthday after reading so many great reviews. I ordered six cupcakes, but only one, the red velvet, tasted somewhat normal. Thankfully, that’s the one he chose.
The “birthday cake” chocolate cupcake icing tasted overwhelmingly salty, as if someone forgot to add the sugar altogether. The vanilla cupcake had a fly in it and the icing on the rest of the cupcakes just tasted like plain butter. All of the sponges were on the dry side and didn’t live up to the hype in the reviews.

With a relentless sweet tooth, I’ve been on the hunt for gluten- and dairy-free treats and I finally feel like I’m in heaven! This cozy Los Altos spot is filled to the brim with delicious options, each one better than the last. thank you. I also subscribed to their monthly Bread Basket which ships from Colorado monthly and I receive gluten and dairy free options, beautifully packaged. There are 8 different flavors each month, each one better than the last. Highly recommend for those of us that have some restrictions!

I think this is literally the best cupcake bakery in South Bay Area.
I was skeptical but they 100% changed my perception about Gluten-free pastries. Yes, they have more than just cupcake, their bakery chef is super innovative, and they always have some “surprise” new assortment on selective days, cream puff, all sorts of pies, cookies, cornbread, you name it and it might be your lucky day.
But about cupcakes: I kept coming back every week for their cupcakes, I shouldn’t but sorry gym…..their cupcakes are worth it.
The sponge is airy and bouncy, not the typical damp texture, huge ⭐️! And their frosting is light as a cloud, creamy with a hint of fruity sweetness, this is what a perfect cupcake should be! (Ok I really don’t like sugar icing kind of cupcake)
They have a very cozy & beautiful outdoor seating area, if you want to grab a quick bite, their drinks are also good! Try their London Frog Lavender latte, you won’t regret it

It’s rare to find a gluten-free bakery that is also very high end. The range of cakes, brownies, buns, meringues and other edibles in this store are beautifully presented with wonderful flavorings and look like they’re freshly baked on the premise.
You really should come here and respect if you’re gluten-free or not. It’s just some great high quality cuisine with some very friendly staff.
