I knew I was coming to Covington today, so I looked up a few places I wanted to try. Honestly, this wasnt my first choice. I was so excited about the name of the other place, that I didn’t notice it was closed today. Anyway, I’m so glad that I came here!! The atmosphere was pretty cool… Your typical bbq joint type atmosphere… I got the rib sandwich with two sides, baked beans and mac n cheese. The rib sandwich was super delicious!! It was an actual rib with the bones taken out… It wasn’t that pork patty crap like them people at the golden arches sells! Lol
The meat was super flavorful, tender, and the bbq sauce on it was really good as well…
Honestly, the rib was so good, you really don’t need the bbq sauce! The baked beans were super flavorful and delicious, and the mac n cheese was cheesy goodness, with flavor! My only disappointment, this place was pretty empty at lunchtime! Man, y’all come enjoy this good ole bbq with these super delicious sides!!!! I believe you won’t be disappointed… GEAUX GEAUX GEAUX!!!!

Wanted beef brisket and got pulled pork for to go order. Called to fix it and they would not. No toast and pulled pork was not shredded more like huge chunks. Texture was springy.

Food was overall good. Brisket has little fat and pulled pork had more than I like but it tasted good. Jambalaya and baked beans sides were good. Not a strong smoke taste but paired good with sauces. They have regular, hot and smoky sauces. Easy quick meal.

You Really Have To Look For This Place, But When You Find It, It’s Well Worth It. The Sliced Brisket Is Moist And Tender, The Ribs Have A Nice Smokey Flavor To Them, The Regular And Spicy Smoked Sausage Are A Must And To Top It All Off, They Have Smoked Chicken And Sausage Gumbo. Since The Only Barbeque They Have In Slidell Is Chain Owned And Operated, I Might Have To Come Back Here. The Downside Is The Parking. You’ll Get Stuck If You Geaux Around 1-2. But Hey, You’ll Leave Full And Happy.

The quality of food was good , staff was very friendly . Corn nuggets are my Fav I was excited they had them ! their baked beans were , brisket was tender . I only have a 4 ⭐️ because of space , there was only 1 6 op table and it’s close to the restrooms and people had to constantly squeeze through and ask us to pass . But overall great place and they are great community supporters ! My only regret today is I didn’t try dessert but I had no room for it

First time going there with family. My father had the brisket sliced and I had the Philly sandwich. Customer service was great. Brisket was a little more grissle on it and server went and told the chef and receive a few extra which was not expected. Philly sandwich had great flavor and chew only thing was pepper jack felt like it overpowered the smoke but it had a great taste. BBQ sauce had great flavor. Will return for sure!!!

I used to come here with my family as a kid, and we stopped in for a nostalgic meal on a recent visit. Just as delicious and enjoyable as we remembered…I dream about those dang corn fritters. Even as a vegetarian, I had plenty of yummy options to enjoy alongside my carnivorous friends. Love Sweet Daddy’s!

Ordered on the phone 15 minutes before closing, very polite, gave me great recommendations and food was ready when I got there. I ended up getting the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese + fries. Prices good,10/10 food and 10/10 service. Definitely coming back.
