Delicious waffles with cute dinosaurs! Came here with my husband and 3 year old. We had a savory waffle and two sweet waffles. Everything was great. They accidentally forgot Nutella on my waffle and when I asked, the server was quick to come to the table and add some. Atmosphere is fun and silly, very well decorated. Would absolutely come again!

Sweet As Waffles delivered a dessert that really leans into indulgence. The waffle itself was the star of the show. It came out golden and warm with crisp, lightly caramelized edges and a soft, fluffy center that held up well under all the toppings. You get that nice contrast where the outside has a gentle crunch and the inside stays tender, which is exactly what a good waffle should do.
Mine was loaded with sliced strawberries, chocolate drizzle, powdered sugar, and a generous tower of whipped cream on top. The strawberries were fresh and bright, cutting through the sweetness so every bite didn’t feel too heavy. The chocolate added richness without drowning the waffle, and the powdered sugar gave it that classic dessert finish. Each forkful had layers of texture, soft fruit, airy cream, and warm waffle, which made it feel thoughtfully built rather than thrown together.
I also appreciated that the waffle itself did not get soggy quickly, even with all the toppings. That usually separates an average waffle from a well made one. It stayed structured and enjoyable all the way through instead of turning mushy halfway in.
The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, which fits a dessert spot like this. It feels like a place where you can sit, slow down, and actually enjoy what you ordered.
Overall, it was a fun, satisfying dessert experience and exactly the kind of place you keep in mind for future sweet cravings. Plenty of creative options on the menu and I would happily come back to try another waffle build next time.

This place is my new favorite downtown spot. I can’t believe it took me this long to finally try it, but I’m glad I did! The food is incredible, the waffles are crisp, the combinations and specials are fun and inventive, and the dinosaurs are the best. The staff is so friendly and kind, really personable and helpful. The vibes are impeccable, too, with super cute decor, lighting, and merch, definitely a iconic downtown experience!

I told my husband I wanted waffles for Mother’s Day dinner and let me tell you this place did not disappoint. The service was outstanding. I love the way the restaurant was decorated. My kids really enjoyed the bathroom setting and the music was great and did I mention the food was amazing…
Our family of five that went all had something different and we all agreed it was phenomenal! If you happen to be downtown in Bellingham, I would recommend giving it a shot or at least getting something to go if you are too full from checking out other restaurants.

Chill positive vibes and delicious waffle sandwiches with a surprisingly delicious pickle lemonade slush (ask for it with tajin!). The staff here are so friendly! Major plus, they have proper vegan options (so greatly appreciated!!!) We stopped here on our way to Seattle, it’s just a 6 min detour off hwy 5, making it the perf stop!

Love this place! We came here twice when we were in Bellingham last year and we made sure it was a stop on our way through to Canada this trip. They have such a fun vibe and amazing options for vegan and dairy free! Staff was super friendly and helpful with all my dietary questions. We loved their outdoor patio area this time. The dinos are a great touch we’ll definitely be back!

Went here for the first time for my birthday. PERFECT CHOICE! We had three different savory waffles and one sweet waffle. Every one of them was scrumptious – like lick the plate clean delicious. The service was stellar and atmosphere really fun. We’ll be back!
