We were hungry for some ice cream, so we found this little shop after reading several reviews. We also looked at their online menu to see what flavors they were offering and thought the variety looked interesting.
We were able to park along the street nearby. I imagine if it was earlier in the day, parking might be challenging to find.
The place was smaller than I expected. There wasn’t any seating except for a bench along the main window.
They offered 20 varieties of ice cream, sherbet and sorbet. We were offered some samples, so we each tried two flavors. I ended up ordering the blood orange sorbet, my wife chose the mimosa sherbet, and my son picked the Cadbury Egg.
When I paid, I noticed that the prompts did not ask me for a tip. Later I noticed on the menu, they are tip free because they’ve increased their employees’ wages. So glad to see that!
After we had our ice cream, we sat down on the bench, had a brief conversation and enjoyed our treat.
If you’re in the neighborhood, or even if you need to drive a ways, stop by Sweet Action and enjoy a treat!

Yummy! My go to is either banana split or brownie a la mode, so since I didn’t see a banana split on the menu I got a heated brownie with a scoop of strawberry parfait ice cream. Delicious! I think it’s a bit overpriced but albeit super tasty.

They have a nice variety of flavors, and allow you to sample. I love that they had vegan options as well that were very tasty and had a great texture to them. I had the vegan mint chocolate chip, someone else in the group had a regular strawberry chamomile, and another had peach cheesecake. Everyone loved their treats!

I love ice cream. I’ve tried almost every shop in the Denver area and Whirlybird’s Salted Golden Oreo is hands down one of my favorites. Staff is always friendly and great portion sizes for the price. I try to stop in as much as I can. Great shop and ice cream!

The cutest, tiny little neighborhood ice cream shop! I’ve been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. The blackberry pound cake is hands-down my favorite flavor, though they rotate daily specials. Order half-scoops of 2 different flavors and just be charged for 1 scoop, or go all in on the blackberry!

Whirlybird is a super cute ice cream and waffle shop with unique flavors that change daily. The waffle is absolutely superb and is served hot with any ice cream or sauce or topping of your choice. I appreciate that they have pup cups too, great addition to Jeff Park!!
