Reviews
The service – attentive and they are very proud about the restaurant
The ambience – Very thoughtful, pleasing and nice themes of festivals, family and music
We are vegetarians and we had the sabudana vada for appetizer, misal pav for entree and basundi for dessert. All of them were flavourful. The basundi was not to my liking as it was more like kheer instead of having milk solids. The drinks we had Sol Kadhi and Piyush were amazing.
Talking to the Chef, we found out that the Maharashtrian cuisine this restaurant boasts comes from 4 different regions of Maharashtra and the team has put together favorite items from these regions. It was very refreshing to know about the cuisine as well as the efforts put in to bring them out to people here.
One odd thing was the two robots that were bringing the food to our table and a server served it to us. This was not in tune with the decor and also the waiters were avoiding and going around the robots. It seems like the robots help them a lot but I wasn’t thrilled.
There are so many more items to try here and I highly recommend this place.
For the main course, we had Bombil Fry, Bharli Vangi, Kolhapuri Chicken, and Phodnicha Varan with chapati and rice. Every dish was well-balanced, aromatic, and cooked beautifully.
The décor really stood out—hand-painted depictions of different Maharashtrian festivals make the place feel warm and cozy. They also have robots delivering food, which was quirky and fun, especially when it said “Jai Maharashtra” after dropping off the dishes. A very welcoming and enjoyable experience overall.
Very friendly staff, fantastic food, I would say better than Swaraj Santa Clara location, overall good experience we will definitely visit this restaurant again .
Unfortunately, they didn’t live up to the mark. The misal wasn’t served with onion/lemon and the curry that came with it seemed too diluted/watery. YMMV
Each dish introduced us to new flavors, showcasing highlights from different regions in Maharashtra. The taste felt super authentic, and the staff were genuinely friendly.
The ambiance perfectly complemented the experience, with decor that highlighted local culture. A must-visit for anyone craving for traditional flavors.
