Stopped in on a Monday about 3:30 discovered happy hour. Food and drinks available on Happy Hour with good prices. Daily and weekly food specials. Great location in china town and close to the water. Covered heated patio available for seating. Bartender was very nice. Will be back in the future!

Stopped into swans for a Wednesday wing special. Wings were huge, juicy and perfectly cooked. $15 for a lb.
Best wings I’ve had in a pub in a long time. I got the sauce on the side to preserve the crispiness of the salt and pepper.

Wandered in during my after work shift. It was quiet despite the large tour groups. The space was very chill, I felt attended to. The server gave me sound recommendations for food. In the end I had a Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich with the soup of the day, cream of carrot. I finished it off with a ramekin of Vanilla Bean Creme Brûlée. It was a nice experience where I got to write down a few thoughts in the book and enjoy the space

Now, I write this review because I love Swans. My sister used to work here, I’ve been almost a dozen times in the past few years and love it!
However… last night was not a good time. I brought a few friends out for a “nice” meal, so we put on our nice clothes and chose Swans over a typically busy and loud Browns or Cactus club vibe.
When we arrived at about 7:25, it almost caught them off guard that we were arriving. There was no bar seats (even though opentable the app they using for booking said there was), so they sat us next to 4 tables of “interns”. These group of young adults like us, were not well behaved unfortunately. Yelling, and standing RIGHT next to our table yell talking over each other, and yelling SHOTS in our ears. Super offputting, and staff didn’t seem to care they were all just standing around invading people’s space. I guess if you spend enough money you can do what you want here, shameful.
Our first server was amazing. She helped us right away, had an awesome smile and attitude, and honestly I wish she moved table with us.
When it came to 8pm we moved out to the atrium terrace. We had to then ask our server to order because she couldn’t be bothered to check on us. This girl couldn’t have looked more pissed off, and had the least customer service I’ve seen in awhile. Then I ordered a $34 piece of cod, which barely covered the palm of my hand, was cold, and came with 2cm of some puree that tasted like the hint of potatoes they should have served it with.
If I’m paying $34 for FISH in a town on the water, make it a good portion size. Or at the very least serve it with a side that doesn’t scream “We’re trying to be fancy by giving you less”. That should be an appy, not a “Main”. You aren’t gonna get return customers to a pub for a tiny piece of fish in this town, sorry. The sad portion of a piece of cod left me hungry, and unhappy. Overall this experience left me saying to my friends “well sorry guys, usually Swans is great”.
Can’t recall server’s name fully from the Atrium, something with a C. Dark hair tied up, younger. Not a good vibe at all. She needs some lessons in customer service.

Service was speedy and the food was excellent. Me and my friends came during a rush and our server was so busy but that didn’t change our experience. Thank you Rachel for all the recommendations, we will be checking out those vintage stores and we will definitely come to swans again before we leave Victoria.

Absolutely awesome experience. The server was lovely, Gen S, and recommended the best sandwhich I have ever had tbh and was super sweet and attentive! So yummy! I had a great spot in their like sunroom area that overlooks the town so you can people watch haha and look out at the city. The on tap cocktails were delicious aswell. Thank you for a great first experience here! Well done!

We are staying in the hotel attached so thought we’d check it out. Fish and chips lunch special was really good, I really enjoyed the seasoning on the fries, We returned later for the Tuesday nacho special, it may look a little odd as I’m a weirdo and don’t like anything but cheese on my nachos. Is a little pricey for some of the cocktails and food at regular prices, but seems on par with the area. I would recommend it.

I went with my coworkers, I had gone before for some drinks but this time we ordered food. We were very surprised, the food is good, the portions are big enough to share and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is very varied, groups of friends, work groups and families with children. The staff’s attention was very pleasant. Definitely a good place. I will recommend it.

Enticed in by the wings offer… lovely atmosphere, we were served by Thalia, who was so super friendly and took key time to explain items on the menu, and telling us what her favourites from the menu where.
She was very efficient, took pride in her work and just looked like she enjoys what she’s doing.
The wings were delicious, and we also got to try corn dogs for the very first time !!
