Located a mile from the Four Seasons Scottsdale, there aren’t a lot of good options around Troon. SWAN delivers excellent and fresh sushi. Owned by a Japanese couple, they maintain excellent standards and prices are more than fair.

Full bar and Sapporo on draft for $7.

Nice outdoor terrace with plenty of heaters.

Overall, excellent sushi restaurant with other options including miso black cod, noodles and chicken.

We had the most wonderful experience at a new Sushi restaurant in Scottsdale called Swan Sushi. My Wife and I had dinner for date night that just so happened to be their opening night. Were blown away by the level of service, quality of food and atmosphere. We were immediately welcomed by the friendly staff, who did an excellent job of walking us through the menu and setting us up with our table.

The sushi served was incredibly fresh – every mouthful was bursting with bright flavours, while delicate seasonings balanced each bite. As course after course arrived we found ourselves increasingly impressed by the skill of the chef – the details they worked into each dish is extraordinary! We especially loved their signature rolls on the Happy Hour menu which featured a unique blend of spices that won us over instantly.

By the end of our meal, we were fully-satisfied! It felt so special to have been able to enjoy such exquisite sushi in such a beautiful environment and one block from our new home in Scottsdalle.

We will be coming back again and again

Brand new sushi restaurant in North Scottsdale. Vibrant and energetic on opening weekend with opportunities for more efficient operations. Top notch quality sushi though. I’ve tried most sushi places in this part of town and the food is comparable to some of the best. Highly recommend but make sure you provision extra time and patience as the business matures. Congratulations to the owners!!! We’ll be back.

I’ve dined here four times in the last month due to holding off-site work meetings, so I feel like I can be a pretty good judge of this place now. It’s a great addition to this area as there aren’t a ton of options. This space has had a few different restaurants over the years, but I really hope this is the one to stay!

The interior is nice, and I like the look of the bar and the sushi bar, but the outside patio is extra lovely. Especially this time of year and having a mountain view. The lunch specials are great. The Maki combo is a choice of 3 rolls or go for a bento special and choose teriyaki chicken, salmon, or kalbi beef. I’ve loved every roll I’ve tried: snow crab, golden California, Vegas, Philly, and especially the Dynamite Roll with panko baked scallops!

The only caveat is that myself and a friend ordered a bento to go, and the meat was dry on both. We accept the fault on that as I’m sure it’s not meant to go. Also, I’ve only been during my own work hours, so I haven’t been able to inbibe, but the sake list is long, and the cocktail list looks delicious.

If you’re not familiar with the area… you should be! I’m biased because I work up this way, but it’s a beautiful area to connect with nature. Hike Pinnacle Peak and Browns Ranch, take the kids and dogs to Doc Cavalliere park, or just drive down to see the horse ranches. So go get fresh sushi and eat there with beautiful views! You won’t be disappointed!

Let me start with, I saw the bad reviews and waited a while because of it. The sushi was fantastic! Portion size was great. Service was good. Food was ready promptly. I don’t have a complaint. Try them out.

My family was in town and wanted sushi, so we tried Swan. Needless to say, living in the area, I will never go back.
Waited for over 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge our table. Wait staff walked by at least 3 times and I said, “excuse me” and they wouldn’t even make eye contact.
Food was mediocre and my short ribs were just flat, small pieces of meat with bones in and had a hair in the serving. Would definitely not order again.

I had a few bad experiences here and some great experiences.. very hit and miss.. the other night I sat at the sushi bar for dinner.. had the salmon teriyaki. It was a little salty and to much teriyaki. Salmon was good otherwise.. BUT… What I saw from the counter concerned me.. I saw employees in the back area eating food from a bowl with their fingers.. 3 or 4 different people.. then grab a ice tea pitcher and fill a few glasses with tea and walk out to serve them.. I couldn’t see anyone leaving the area where the food being eaten to go wash their hands.. I wasn’t in a spot to see a sink.. but many hands and fingers went from food in a ramekin to the mouth and then to cooler and then a glass to fill, then serve.. I got sick hours after eatting there late, a few months back.. I didn’t know if it was from this place or just a viral bug.. but now I wonder. Often the tablet are not cleaned directly after customers pay and are gone.. shouldn’t food plates be removed from table as soon as they are finished? Waiting to clear dirty dishes until the customers have left seems to be the norm at swan sushi.. I won’t go back..

Our sever Liz was super with a great personality. Food was really good and the atmosphere was really enjoyable. We started with calamari , sunomono and then had double double roll and the ramen both very tasty. We sat on the patio 8-9pm and it was great.
