Full bar and Sapporo on draft for $7.
Nice outdoor terrace with plenty of heaters.
Overall, excellent sushi restaurant with other options including miso black cod, noodles and chicken.
The sushi served was incredibly fresh – every mouthful was bursting with bright flavours, while delicate seasonings balanced each bite. As course after course arrived we found ourselves increasingly impressed by the skill of the chef – the details they worked into each dish is extraordinary! We especially loved their signature rolls on the Happy Hour menu which featured a unique blend of spices that won us over instantly.
By the end of our meal, we were fully-satisfied! It felt so special to have been able to enjoy such exquisite sushi in such a beautiful environment and one block from our new home in Scottsdalle.
We will be coming back again and again
Pros:
*Ample free parking
*Clean single use restroom
*House hot sake was delicious and paired perfectly
*Excellent customer service experience provided by my waitress and the sushi chef.
*Outdoor eating options with a beautiful ambiance
Cons:
*Other staff members could match the energy of the server to provide continuity in the customer service experience.
I’m definitely going back! It was a truly delicious end a wonderful sushi experience.
The interior is nice, and I like the look of the bar and the sushi bar, but the outside patio is extra lovely. Especially this time of year and having a mountain view. The lunch specials are great. The Maki combo is a choice of 3 rolls or go for a bento special and choose teriyaki chicken, salmon, or kalbi beef. I’ve loved every roll I’ve tried: snow crab, golden California, Vegas, Philly, and especially the Dynamite Roll with panko baked scallops!
The only caveat is that myself and a friend ordered a bento to go, and the meat was dry on both. We accept the fault on that as I’m sure it’s not meant to go. Also, I’ve only been during my own work hours, so I haven’t been able to inbibe, but the sake list is long, and the cocktail list looks delicious.
If you’re not familiar with the area… you should be! I’m biased because I work up this way, but it’s a beautiful area to connect with nature. Hike Pinnacle Peak and Browns Ranch, take the kids and dogs to Doc Cavalliere park, or just drive down to see the horse ranches. So go get fresh sushi and eat there with beautiful views! You won’t be disappointed!
Waited for over 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge our table. Wait staff walked by at least 3 times and I said, “excuse me” and they wouldn’t even make eye contact.
Food was mediocre and my short ribs were just flat, small pieces of meat with bones in and had a hair in the serving. Would definitely not order again.
