Excellent food – super nice people – terrible service.
We had brunch today and decided to try a new place. With all the great reviews I had high hopes and I really tried to give this place a better rating but I just can’t.
The lady who waited on us was super nice – I think she may have been the owner. It took a long time to get the drinks, the water and a coke were forgotten as was the Splenda for my wife’s coffee. She had to go back in and get the only refill she got. The food came out for 7 people in a couple of waves, the table finally got all food except my hamburger which was left off the order. They got the second one out fairly quickly but that’s the last time we saw our server until we tracked her down to get the check.

Absolutely Wonderful! You must visit Swan Cafe! Kind and welcoming greeting from Safoora (thank you for making us feel welcome), really great service, great atmosphere, soft music and the most delicious food. Huevos Ranchero and Chicken & Waffles were totally the best! And yummy desserts! This is our new breakfast place!

For some reasons I reviewed this place as acceptable several months ago, and now I am glad to delete that feedback and give a new one. I was really pleased to visit them again and to see how they improved since. The owner of this place has a remarkable memory and remembers all her customers. She is always polite and respectful. They improved and expanded the menu that now contains breakfast, lunch and even dinner with alcoholic beverages if you are interested in ones. Why we did love their food is that it is quite delicate and almost dietary despite the hearty size of the plates and does not contain artificial flavors that leaves you full but comfortable. They really improved in coffee-making as well, and the desserts are also nice. I wil definitely come again and recommend the place to my friends as well.

Swan Cafe is a secret gem in Ellard Village & one of my favorites for a less hectic & less generic weekend brunch. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed into a friendly, relaxing, eclectic cafe environment by the superb family team. The food is beautifully prepared and tastes as DELICIOUS as it looks! Service is quick, professional & congenial with everyone making you feel at home. It is a true cafe experience with breakfast/brunch/lunch items, freshly-made bakery pastries & a good selection of barista coffees. 5-stars for the service, food & experience! Love to support local businesses that remind us that a true treasure can be found right in our own town!

I eat here regularly and every single experience is wonderful. The homemade pastries and desserts are delicious, and the grilled cheese sandwich is an absolute treat. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area – the owners are wonderful people and they’ll make sure you have a great visit.
ETA: Post pandemic I’m glad to report that this cafe is still open and still absolutely amazing. The food can’t be beat and the people are the most welcoming I’ve found at any local eatery. I will continue to support them and recommend Swan Cafe to everyone in the area.

Great coffee house feel. Interior is furnished with farmhouse industrial feel with relaxing jazz music. Ordered steak and eggs (beware they serve it with BBQ sauce on it for those purists) and the breakfast sandwich which came with egg, cheese, bacon, avocado, red onion and watercress (?)

Excellent! Our first time here and we got here early so it wasn’t too busy. I got the iced coffee and it was the best I’ve ever had outside of Costa Rica. Everything was excellent! And they had Red Bulls!

We had brunch here, food was good and I enjoyed the Swan Turmerific Smoothie. But I agree with Rob’s review on the service level. Our server was not particularly friendly. Not sure if she was stressed or woke up at the wrong side of bed. We had to ask different servers, including the owner a couple of times for water, utensils and etc. as they kept forgetting. It didn’t appear as if there was insufficient staffing to handle the volume during our visit.

I had such a nice lunch sitting outside on the patio recently. I had the salmon lunch special and it was so good! One of the best cooked salmon I have had in a very long time. Crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. Portion size was great and service was excellent. Their desserts are incredible too. Thank you!
