A classic in Rapid River. Cool decor inside and well kept. Great prices and our food was really good but was all from the freezer. We were here on a taco night a while ago and really enjoyed our meal. Love the whole vibe of The Swallow Inn. Thank you for honoring Veterans and their families by offering a discount on the whole ticket (most places only discount what the Veteran ordered). That’s super impressive to me. Thank you!!

We were only in town for one night and been on the road for 13 hours. It was a nice bar, with a pretty mellow atmosphere. The patsy and brown gravy were excellent, which is saying something because I don’t like brown gravy.
The appetizer sampler had plenty of options to choose from all fresh. My partner loved the sweet potato fries and burger. We also tried the chili and was some of the best we have had.

Not awesome but they sell shots of patron for 5 bucks. Maybe when the current owner brings the price down to planet earth (it’s for sale) someone will buy it and do something better with it. The Friday fish fry and salad bar is pretty good, especially for the price.

I have no idea what their food is like as my wife and I were never served, or even acknowledged that we were there. We came in on a Friday night (in fairness, they were busy) and sat at a smaller table to the side of the bar (we left the larger tables for larger groups). None of the staff said hello, acknowledged us or said they would be right with us. We were not hidden nor invisible. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we got up and left.

One of the BEST places to go to a Friday Night Fishfry. We waited nearly an hour for our group pf 6, it’s worth the wait. Reba was our server. Her and the others were busting butt with a full house. We highly recommend the Swallow Inn.

Vacationing in Gladstone MI. Love coming here on Friday nights for fish fry for years and years. Salad bar options are always good. Fish was great. Service was very slow. Very slow.

Absolutely terrible we went for a fish fry. Salad bar a joke picked over looked terrible. Then comes the food 22.95 for some over cooked fish. Under cooked fys nothing else. And the best part is everyone get the food at different times. So by time last person get what they order near 40 minutes passes. So they have to sit awkwardly while you actually get to try eat that trash they call food. I know place use to be good but not no more. Time to call it quits I think. Just sad

Great time! Incredibly friendly staff!! We stopped in on a snowmobile trip and will for sure stop back next year. Did not get any food, but what I saw others eating looked really good.

Went for a fish fry, took 2 hours to get our food, portions were small but expensive, very little service, just not a great experience overall
