The service really elevated the experience, too. The waitress was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to accommodate dietary restrictions, which made the meal feel relaxed and genuinely welcoming. It’s always a huge plus when a place takes that kind of care.
With amazing food, attentive service, and a comfortable atmosphere, Swain Brothers Steakhouse is absolutely worth a visit if you’re in Vernal. I’ll definitely be back.
As we traveled around town we were repeatedly told that this was the place to eat (which we were quite capable of verifying)! Even when we swung out to Roosevelt we were asked, “have you been to Swain’s? You need to go to Swain’s…”
Again — fantastic stop. If you’re in the area this is a must go for lunch or dinner.
I have never seen anywhere ever with all you can eat steak – for $26.99! They also have a great portion kids steak for $10.99.
This was the most reasonably priced steakhouse I’ve ever been to.
All of our food was excellent and our server was great too.
Con: Overall felt “meh” about my experience. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. I was really excited to go here, but left hungry and disappointed. I would give it another try if I’m back in the area, maybe I went on an “off” night.
Atmosphere: Large restaurant, half of it has functioning AC. Typical rustic steakhouse, nothing fancy.
Service: We had a reservation, at first they couldn’t find my reservation, then once they did it was still a 15 minute wait before we were seated. They seemed disorganized and weren’t rude but also weren’t overly friendly or welcoming. They were there to do a job and that’s what it felt like.
Food: Everything was good except for my prime rib, which should have been the star. I ordered medium and it was well done, dry as a bone, and completely unseasoned. It ended up going to my dogs. I did order the double cut, so maybe that was my mistake. Too difficult to perfect it due to the size. The garlic mashed potatoes are fantastic, we appreciated the rolls and butter which were comparable to Texas Roadhouse. My husband had the Oysters Rockefeller and garlic steak; he was pleased.
