Kind, positive, greet you with a smile service! We were seated quickly by the window. It’s out 1st time here as we’re on our drive home. It’s about 3 miles off I-69. So thankful we stopped! The Christian music was a lovely bonus that made us feel relaxed, comfortable, and welcomed. The coffee bar has all you need to tempt your morning cravings! I am picky about chai tea and these girls were able to make one to soothe my desire. My husband liked the dining room coffee mug as he commented on it’s size and shape being a comfortable grip.
The food is good for made to order.
I ordered the Swaggy P’s platter but was full before I made it to the large waffle. I substituted the orgiginal menu biscuits and gravy for grits. My husband had the Big Daddy platter plus a bowl of grits and ate it all! Now the grits were served luke warm but they were creamy and delicious.
The coffee was good as well as my husband doesn’t typically order one to go and this time he took them up on the offer! The hasbrowns were cooked to a crispy golden brown crunch. The sausage aren’t served as a coverup for flying charred disc’s. They were perfectly done with a crunch on the outside and soft and tender inside. Way to go Swaggy P’s you impressed a foodie critic and that’s a lot because breakfast is something people advertise but often rank along side of Waffle House! No sir, Swaggy P’s rises above a casual fast food 24/7 diner. SWAGGY P’s has love in their service and food and that’s the difference in a local restaurant vs a chain.

We live in Hopkinsville and my husband is a coal miner in the Madisonville area. We had been hearing good things about Swaggy P’s, so we had to go! We chose breakfast and it did not disappoint!
We walked into a very welcoming environment. Everyone was smiling, friendly and it was clean
My husband went with the Pulled Pork Omelette, which was so good. He also had hash browns, biscuit with small gravy aaannnddd a waffle! It was all delicious!
I chose the Veggie Omelette and added ham. I had hash browns with cheese and onion. They were the way I like them, crispy! I also went with a biscuit and side of gravy. Everything was delicious.
Our server was Hailey. She was friendly and took very good care of us.

Only place I know in Western Kentucky where you can get a traditional eggs and bacon and hash browns breakfast and still get almond milk for your coffee. Very good coffee in fact. Staff is outstanding. There is a coffee and ice cream bar off to the side, but mainly, it’s just a really good basic diner for real people.

Very rare do I give five star ratings being the picky eater I am. The service was excellent. The waitress allowed us proper time to decide on our prders and kept our drinks filled. Our food was served hot and in a very timely manner. The atmosphere was very family friendly. Comfortable, almost as if we were at home. My son and boyfriend had the pimento cheese burger and they were impressed at how creative and delicious it was. I had the catfish with green beans and fried okra. The green beans were so flavorful! I would have been happy with a high bowl of them. My catfish filets had a perfectly crunchy crust. It was fresh. The overall seasoning on the crust and meat made for a flavor explosion with every bite! My son was on point when he recommended this establishment! Highly recommend it!

Great service, good diner food, and disappointing espresso drinks. The service was fast and friendly, with sincere smiles and care. We really enjoyed the chicken and waffle, the eggcelent omelet, and biscuits and gravy. The hash browns were golden brown and crispy.
Here’s my critique. Our vanilla latte tasted like a typical gas station machine made coffee flavored drink. I was served a 16 ounce “cappuccino” that had an overwhelming plastic flavor and came served in a styrofoam cup. If you’re going to advertise as a coffee bar you really ought to have a real espresso machine, barista, and appropriately sized servings in mugs for dine in patrons.

Three in our group got the smothered chicken. It was bland and very small. The mashed potatoes tasted good but was a little small and the white beans were also good but way to small of a portion. For the price we were very disappointed the fish and chicken fried steak was large and good.

This is an excellent place to eat! We were just traveling through and this has popped up on my Google search. The atmosphere is great and to add to that, they have a coffee shop inside of the restaurant that offers “fancy” coffees! I gave them 5 stars based on the amount of food, friendliness of the staff and just because it’s a solid place to be! I ordered Swaggy P’s Breakfast which did not disappoint. If you want a special treat, get a side of the cinnamon apples and put them on top of the waffle that you get with the meal. My wife ordered the pork fritter with tater tots and cinnamon apples. Completely satisfied and would recommend to everyone!
