I opted for the mutton biryani, and I must say, the taste was phenomenal. While I felt that slightly larger chunks of mutton would have enhanced the dish even more, the flavor was simply superb. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, showcasing the high quality of ingredients used in the preparation.
Overall, Swad offers a brilliant dining experience with authentic Indian cuisine. It’s definitely a must-visit destination for anyone craving delicious Indian food.
We ordered chettinad chicken curry and butter Nan. While eating we didn’t like the nan as it was too thin and felt like we are eating papad. We called a staff to see if, it can be replaced.
The person came and when we said this naan is not good. This is hard and it doesn’t look like a usual butter naan he replied this is how we serve it. Nobody else is having any issues and they are eating it and you are the only person complaining. So we can’t do anything about this. The person is the owner of Swad we came to know from other staff.
Dear owner if you are reading this please understand you are not doing any charity. We Pay you and you should keep this in mind. You cannot serve whatever you want and ask us to eat. Also stop DISCRIMINATING people based on color as we saw you behaving differently for the other people.
BE RESPECTFUL TOWARDS CUSTOMERS.
Service is quick but ambiance of place is slightly lacking, felt a bit bland. And the service was strange, even though there wasn’t a large crowd waiting to come in, we felt rushed to pay the bill, haven’t felt as unwelcome in a while in a restaurant.
Also along she was pretty off.
The other taller lady (I think spanish) was really nice.
Loved the Lamb and Tikki Chaat.
However the quantity can be improved for the price paid.
The ambience is 10/10
I dont know if the food is authentic, but it is a bit different from other indian restaurants i tried in europe and while it tasted good the butter chicken was less creamy as i like it and the naan was thinner (which i dont mind). the portion is not big but it is just fine for a person – if you usually eat more at one sitting pls stop – also, i has a lassi ( which was very good by the way – pistachio&vetiver falvour) on the side so without that it migh be not as fulfilling especially for men.
It seems they prioritize Spanish locals over Indian customers. I confirmed it by asking the customers who had no reservations. I usually don’t leave negative reviews unless I’m truly compelled to, but overall it was a poorly run restaurant due to their rude staff. The service was terrible.
