Good place for Indian food. Taste is really nice. Ambience is okay. This place is quite small with limited seating area. Recommended to reserve the seat before going. Paid Parking available nearby.

We had a great experience at Swad. But more importantly – it’s the quality of the food that stood out for me. Together with large groups and small groups at different times – both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian options as well as desserts were all highly rated by all (speaking for 15 ppl here). I personally chose restaurants both by looking at reviews but also photos put by other users. Here I chose the restaurant by photos of the food which looked authentic and had the colours and distinctions needed that differentiates from a one base gravy to all dishes type of place versus those that actually build from scratch and give Indian food the respect it deserves as well as respecting the rich cultural diversity of the menu. Swad – which Means taste – did not disappoint the taste buds and with its reasonable pricing as well – I am happy to recommend this place to my network. 5/5 from me. I didn’t remember to take many photos as we were too busy enjoying the food and talking – but the few that I did from the first visit should be a good indication 🙂

I had lunch in Swad and had a delightful experience. The ambience was serene and pleasant, providing a perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my meal experience was enjoyable. One thing I appreciated was how they asked about my spice preference before preparing the food, allowing for a personalized touch to each dish.

I opted for the mutton biryani, and I must say, the taste was phenomenal. While I felt that slightly larger chunks of mutton would have enhanced the dish even more, the flavor was simply superb. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, showcasing the high quality of ingredients used in the preparation.

Overall, Swad offers a brilliant dining experience with authentic Indian cuisine. It’s definitely a must-visit destination for anyone craving delicious Indian food.

Really authentic Indian flavours, warm hospitality and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend to book a table as it is quite full over the weekends. Go for a truly Indian flavour experience in Barcelona- easily one of the best!

Me and my friend went to this restaurant for lunch.I have been there many times and so I asked my friend to come with me and this was his first time.

We ordered chettinad chicken curry and butter Nan. While eating we didn’t like the nan as it was too thin and felt like we are eating papad. We called a staff to see if, it can be replaced.

The person came and when we said this naan is not good. This is hard and it doesn’t look like a usual butter naan he replied this is how we serve it. Nobody else is having any issues and they are eating it and you are the only person complaining. So we can’t do anything about this. The person is the owner of Swad we came to know from other staff.

Dear owner if you are reading this please understand you are not doing any charity. We Pay you and you should keep this in mind. You cannot serve whatever you want and ask us to eat. Also stop DISCRIMINATING people based on color as we saw you behaving differently for the other people.
BE RESPECTFUL TOWARDS CUSTOMERS.

Nice place for Indian food in Poblenou, wouldn’t say it’s a standout but has great dishes. The rice came in a generous portion!

Service is quick but ambiance of place is slightly lacking, felt a bit bland. And the service was strange, even though there wasn’t a large crowd waiting to come in, we felt rushed to pay the bill, haven’t felt as unwelcome in a while in a restaurant.

Amazing place with good ambience but one Indian lady at the counter came across as very rude to us. She racially profiled and dismissed us to have our order as takeaway less than 2 mins after we walked in. Asking if we were only having chai and is that is the case we should do takeaway.

Also along she was pretty off.

The other taller lady (I think spanish) was really nice.

My husband likes this one for the Tawa roti which is a rare instance in entire BCN.
Loved the Lamb and Tikki Chaat.
However the quantity can be improved for the price paid.
The ambience is 10/10

Good location, and the environment is nice and clean, modern.
I dont know if the food is authentic, but it is a bit different from other indian restaurants i tried in europe and while it tasted good the butter chicken was less creamy as i like it and the naan was thinner (which i dont mind). the portion is not big but it is just fine for a person – if you usually eat more at one sitting pls stop – also, i has a lassi ( which was very good by the way – pistachio&vetiver falvour) on the side so without that it migh be not as fulfilling especially for men.

The service staff in restaurant were incredibly rude to Indian customers.. Here’s what happened: they claimed to be fully booked, yet they seated random non-Indians without reservations. When I asked a group of three if they had a reservation, they replied that they had just arrived in Barcelona an hour ago.
It seems they prioritize Spanish locals over Indian customers. I confirmed it by asking the customers who had no reservations. I usually don’t leave negative reviews unless I’m truly compelled to, but overall it was a poorly run restaurant due to their rude staff. The service was terrible.
