We’re visiting Fredericton on vacation and were really craving Indian food. After seeing good reviews, we decided to try this place, but honestly, it was a big disappointment.
We ordered chicken pakora, murgh malai tikka, lamb tikka, chicken biryani, and chicken fried rice. The chicken pakora had no flavor at all, the murgh malai tikka tasted bad, and the lamb tikka was so chewy it felt like rubber.
Portions were also very small for the price, which made it even more frustrating. I’m attaching photos as proof.
Don’t just go by the reviews— this was a horrible experience, and I regret eating here.

Yes you are definitely confused. We are not asking for more than what is fair—we are asking for a reasonable quantity for the price charged. I’ve lived here for three years, and meat prices are not as high as you claim. Compared to other places, your prices are clearly higher.
I’ve also read other reviews and noticed a pattern in your responses. Instead of taking responsibility or addressing feedback constructively, you tend to blame or attack customers. It’s not surprising that this results in ratings like these.
I recommend everyone not to order food from here.

The food is amazing!! And all these years, I thought I ate authentic samosas (im 41) and come to realize I did not, after eating these somosas!! Amazing! We ordered the beef! I could not eat them quick enough!!

Just passing thru and stopped in. It’s a little place and plainly decorated but don’t let that fool you. The food was amazing and the portions generous. We shared a portion of veg samosa then I had kadai chicken and my wife had veg masala both with rice. We also ordered a garlic naan each but one portion would have been ample. We couldn’t finish it all and brought some back to the hotel. We would say it was one of the tastiest indian meals we’ve eaten.

Again had a great experience and had such delicious food. Lovely hospitality. Tried chicken tikka, chole bhature, Amritsari kulcha, golgappe, and lassi. Everything was really good. They were short staffed because of weather and lots of table were full. But still there was no delay in the service. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time.
Great customer service and good food. We tried malai soya chaap, veg chowmein and manchurian and paneer biryani. For dessert we tried pistachio kulfi. Everything was delicious.

Finally!!!! Oromocto has needed more ethnic restaurants, and Swaad Of India is exactly what is needed.
First off, it’s newly opened, the owners and staff were very welcoming.
Their menu is a good mix of food, but its missing combo meals, so you have a better chance to try more items.
We had the Butter Chicken medium, Lamb Curry Spicy, garlic Naan and tandoori roti, with rice. Food came out very hot, and smelled so good. First taste, of the butter chicken, very creamy and had good flavor, the garlic Naan paired perfectly. 2nd taste was the Lamb curry and it was spicy. It paired well, with the roti, but will try the other breads.
Had to save room for dessert. Gulab Jaumn is always good. It was served warm with a syrup which wasn’t too sweet and hints of lemon. Next was the Laddu, and it tasted delicious. Kind of reminded me of milk cake and jalebi combined. We also tried the Burfi, it was ok, not my favorite. But then the lovely waitress treated us to a carrot pudding. OH MY!!!!! Hands down the best!!! It’s like milk cake, but waaaaaay better.
We will definitely be back, and I am so happy that they opened shop here in Oromocto. I hope everyone gives this restaurant a chance. They have been opened now for a month. I can’t wait to go back for more!

I believe this is a newly opened restaurant in Oromocto which is pretty great. This was the first time, I visited this place and my experience was great. The server was very polite and friendly. We will definitely come back. The quantity was very good as compared to all other nearby restaurants. The money spent at this place will be worth it.
