Tonight we tried Swaad Indian Cuisine in Port Charlotte and I am SO glad we did!!
Everything was freshly made and the flavors we’re very pleasant on the palette.
Appetizer: Coastal Shrimp Fry – Sautéed to perfection, I loved the hints of curry leaves, it was light and refreshing. I’d order this dish every time.
Main Courses: Tandoori Specialty Lamb Chops
WOW! They came out on a sizzling cast-iron skillet, not just visually appealing and it taste just as good! The meat had a nice char on one side and was so tender. Flavors so nice it made do a little dance in my seat
Lamb Rogan Josh – Very good! Definitely a dish slightly out of my comfort zone but I was very pleasantly surprised. I mixed with the side of fluffy basmati rice.
Garlic Naan – Fresh and Delicious
We will definitely be back to try more of the items on their extensive menu. I’m definitely coming back for the shrimp & Lamb Chops!

Great food, good service, the most beautiful decor ever.
It was my first time here and I was blown away by the service, food and overall decor of this new restaurant.
There is lots of parking, lots of seating accommodation and conveniently located on 41 in Port Charlotte.
My server was very helpful. I had the chicken mango curry with jasmine rice and plain naan.
They have a buffet during the midday which I missed.
I can’t wait to be back!

This beautiful restaurant was easily the best Indian Cuisine we have ever had.
The servers were delightful, and even showed my toddler love.

We had Dosa’s for lunch. They were amazing. Taste was great. Not too spicy at all. The waiter was very polite and patient.
We just mentioned it was my birthday and they gave us complimentary desserts.
The atmosphere was very calm, the place was clean. We will definitely be back.
Try the dosa’s if y’all go.

I ordered dinner out last night because I’m not feeling the best as I am recovering from surgery. I had an Instacart driver bring my order, minus the naan bread (which we all know completes the meal) So in an attempt to get that problem resolved, I called the driver who was of no help. So I then called the restaurant, who surprisingly delivered the naan bread to me! I was very grateful and impressed that this was the case and promised to give a 5 star review. The reason it is now 4, is because the person who I contacted sent me a rude and impatient text about not receiving their review yet. So here it is-the review. A little patience on your part and you would have earned 5 stars. Glad you received your review and I hope you value it because you’ve lost a customer.

Authentic & delicious, Swaad delivers the goods. The buffet is spectacular with an excellent choice of Indian dishes and deserts. Everyone is nice and welcoming. The garlic nan is sublime.

I had SWAAD cater a party for over 200 guests last week. Joseph and his team did a fantastic job! The food was delivered hot and on time. Everything was delicious, and our guests loved it! I’m still getting compliments on how tasty the food was. I highly recommend SWAAD for events of any size!

The hospitality was great and the portion on my shrimp fried rice was very large. The shrimp were so big they needed to be cut up. My wife greatly enjoyed her butter, chicken and garlic naan. What grade is they ask you the level of heat and fit it right to your liking. We definitely will be back, especially for the lunch buffet, which we hear from the owner is a must. My wife really liked the decor as well and it was cool seeing music videos from India.
