This is my experience with Suvai Street having dinner delivered.

The word Suvai literally translates to taste. The restaurant’s food certainly lived up-to its name.

What we tasted and reviewed:
Poricha kozhi / deep fried chicken
Kozhi varuval / Roasted chicken
Varutha Aatu Kari / Roasted goat
Chicken biriyani
Goat biriyani

Taste profile: 5/5
The cuisine is an introduction to flavors of traditional Tamil cooking. The apices and ingredients render the meet a unique taste that you would not normally find in Columbus. The food was well groomed in flavor and spice – not overly spicy and oily.
Deep fried chicken, roasted goat and goat biriyani stole the night for us. 5/5 for all three.
The roasted chicken and chicken biriyani were authentic and flavorful. The chef should try being bold with the spices (keep hotness the same) to enhance the aroma.
Overall, a delightful and tasteful experience.

Cuisine: authentic South Indian cuisine

Overall Quality: 5/5
The dishes were well packaged and all liquids sealed. Food felt like made from fresh and good quality ingredients.

Overall, Suvai Street is a must try and a place to be on quick dial. Highly recommend this for everyone who would want to try traditional South Indian minus the unparalleled spiciness in other restaurants offering similar dishes.

I would love to see them expand their menu and grow into a dine in restaurant. One more gem in the Columbus food scene.

I ordered food from Suvai street for my husband’s birthday. We wanted to try something different. We ordered their Chicken kizhi parotta and I was blown away.I am not kidding when I say this is one of the best Indian delicacy I have had since the time I have been here in the US.So flavorful ,fragrant and authenticaly made. Extremely delicious, packaging on point , hot serving , perfect portion size and consideration of the customers.Suvai street has nailed it on every single parameter.
His bday was made extra special because of the delicious food as well as the dessert halwa they sent in. Thank you so much and I look forward to more n more scrumptious food ❤️

One of the best tandoori we’ve had. Biriyani was really good, and the chicken curry that came with it was a nice surprise. We’ve ordered from here before as well, including the Kizhi Poratta, and they’ve been consistently great. You can tell they really try to keep improving and making things better for customers. Fresh, flavorful food every time. Highly recommend!

We tried the Dun Tandoori and Goat Biryani, and both dishes impressed us. The Dun Tandoori was flavorful with a good balance of spices, cooked just right without being dry. The Goat Biryani stood out with its rich aroma, generous portions, and tender meat that blended well with the rice and masala. Packaging was neat and the food arrived fresh. A great experience from this cloud kitchen.

Ordered the Chicken Virundhu and Goat Virundhu from Suvai Street — both were fantastic! The biriyani wasn’t just flavorful, it was loaded with meat and came in generous portions, totally worth the price. Each Virundhu box came with a generous spread — an appetizer, a hearty biriyani, a flavorful salan (with real meat pieces in it!), creamy raita, a rich and tasty Kesari dessert, and a drink.
You can really taste the quality — the rich ghee aroma, fresh spices, and perfectly cooked ingredients. The Goat Virundhu was my favorite — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The chicken pieces in the Chicken Biriyani were a bit on the dry side, but that’s just a small note in an otherwise amazing meal.
The drink was a touch sweeter for my taste, but overall, this is the most authentic Chennai-style food I’ve had in Columbus. For so long, there hasn’t been a real Chennai food option here — glad Suvai Street is changing that! I can’t wait for this cloud kitchen to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant, so I can enjoy this Virundhu served hot, in true Chennai style and ambiance. Definitely ordering again soon!

Suvai Street Cloud Kitchen is a great spot in Columbus for Tamil-style food. The dishes are consistent, flavorful, and include unique options that you don’t easily find in Columbus, Ohio. Even the biryani feels light and not bloating, which is a big plus, and the starters are really good too. On the rare occasions there are minor misses, they’re open to feedback and usually fix it the next time around.

This is by far the best chicken biriyani I have had in Columbus.
It is very unlike the masal laden spice bombs that other places serve.
The flavor is subtle, and with aromatic spices that one would expect from a biriyani.
I had a full box of biriyani and felt neither stuffy nor any heartburn. And I was wanting for more .
If you want to experience authentic Chennai style biriyani, unlike the masala excesses that folks in Columbus have had to endure so far, pls do yourself a favor and walk up Suvai Street.
You can actually sense the dedication and attention that the chefs have put into their dishes. No 5-star chefs here, just everyday ppl like you and me, with a passion for preparing tasty meals and delighting friends.

The salna that accompanied the biriyani was simply outstanding . I have never liked salna, but that changes from today, because I now know what real authentic salna tastes like. Full credit to the chefs .

And dont miss the digestif, Paan. It is something so simple, yet so elegantly tasty and refreshing . I wonder why no other restaurant ever served this drink before. A dash of tradition in a little jar – fantastic!!!

I cant wait to try out the other dishes they serve!!
You shouldn’t too!!

I placed a catering order in December (Chicken Biryani, Veg Pulao, Chicken Fry and Chicken Curry) and everyone absolutely loved the food. I’d especially like to commend the care and effort taken in packing everything so well. The team was incredibly patient and accommodating with last-minute changes to my order. I highly recommend them. Thank you, Suvai team!
