We’re an independently owned and operated Southern American style restaurant. We are located on the corner of the Marathon gas station and across from Auto Zone. Don’t let the name fool you, we serve more than chicken and waffles! You can easily enjoy a meal by yourself, with a special someone or the entire family. Our menu range from fried chicken to smoked BBQ with Cluck-licousness all in between and did I mention freshly made double crusted peach cobbler?

Okay so this was my first time visiting this place. I will say it is a small location seemingly ran by a very limited staff but they give their best effort in trying to meet everyone’s needs. I was disappointed I wasn’t able to try the macaroni but it was close to closing time so I won’t count that against them. Overall I thought the food tasted very good I was very surprised how tasty the turnip greens were it’s very difficult to make turnips taste good but they succeeded. I will say the potato salad was a bit too soupy and too sweet for my taste but it wasn’t the worst I’ve had. The chicken is immaculate perfectly fried perfectly seasoned I definitely would return just for that and the collards along. My husband enjoyed the peach cobbler as well. I will say the fish was a bit bland for my taste and very thin for the price it was like $5 per slice and they were less than an inch thick. Overall I will say that it’s worth returning just to try the macaroni with the greens and the chicken so I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area. If you haven’t tried them I would say they’re worth at least an initial investment.

This was a hidden gem! I found this place on google, as I wanted to try something new and it did not disappoint. The place was quaint, very clean, and the staff was extremely welcoming. The owner actually made her way to our table to meet/great and check to see if the food was to our satisfaction. Prior to ordering, I asked for a recommendation for my meal as I was not in the mood for just chicken& waffles. I was advised the fried turkey wings was a must-have! I ordered the turkey wings with a side of Mac&cheese and collard greens. The turkey wings were fried to perfection and came with this one of a kind sauce (yummy!). The mac& cheese was homemade and tasty just like I like it and the collards were tasty as well. Because I often like to channel my inner hungry girl, I also ordered a side of fried okra which was cooked to perfection. I also ordered 2 red velvet cupcakes (with nuts) to go. Those homemade cupcakes were so moist and downright ridiculous. My 10year old son and I were looking so disappointed that we did not get a backup cupcake… definitely worth the drive and definitely on the repeat list.

I tried this place today, & am do happy I stopped by. The staff is friendly & patient. They do not mind answering questions, & are very attentive. There was a family seated having a birthday party, and no wait to order at the counter. The ordering system is easy, use the kiosk, or place your order at the register. Everything I ordered tasted really good, & satisfied my cravings. I will be back!

Suthern Cluck has become a Saturday morning tradition for us, and for good reason. The food is absolutely fantastic every single time. The chicken and waffles are incredible — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and honestly hard to beat. The grits were amazing, and the chicken tenders are some of the best I’ve ever had — crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. Honestly, everything we’ve tried has been great.
On top of the food, the owners are some of the nicest people you’ll meet. You can really feel the care and pride they put into the place, and it makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for comfort food done right and a place that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in.

Staff is very nice and informative.
Clean everywhere, but the kiosk could use a wipe down.
Prices are decent considering the area.
I loved their fried chicken and brisket. Both perfect. Juicy and crispy chicken, not greasy nor too much breading.
Their lemonade tea was a bit too sweet for my liking.
Mac and cheese was good, but noodles abit overcooked.
Corn was dry and had no flavor/seasoning.
Green beans & Potatoes were abit salty.
Corn bread was a new recipe, moist and abit more sweet than last visit. Also now made in a cake pan instead of muffin tin.
Cupcake we took to go, was very yummy and moist.
Health inspection was a 97% , A.
Order took 20 minutes to be ready, if you dont want to wait, order ahead of arrival.
Overall I would come back and would recommend. I hope they can continue to serve delicious food.

Tried this place today for the first time with a friend. This place is located in the same lot as the marathon gas station. They are located at the end of that lot.
The service is 10 out of 10. We were greeted warmly, and since it was our first time, we were given ample time to look over the menu before we made decisions. There was no pressure to hurry up. Definitely service with a smile. We were able to use the ziosk to order & pay for our food.
I ordered three-piece wings with waffles. Not your traditional waffle was more of a sweet waffle. I also ordered a large side of okra. I was surprised by the amount of okra I received. I believe four people could’ve shared the large order easily. The wings were juicy and flavorful. The waffles were not bad-A little on the dry side but still edible. They definitely did not need any syrup. They were sweet enough. The lemonade was sweet, but refreshing. I also ordered a side of their spicy barbecue sauce. It was watery and nothing like I expected barbecue sauce to be like, but it definitely packed flavor. I would order it again. I ordered the fried Turkey wings, hand cut fries, Texas toast and Candied yams to go for my son. The fried turkey wings looked delicious.
My friend ordered the chicken tenders with waffles and added a smoked chicken wing. The tenders were juicy and flavorful she said. The smoked wing was decent.
The owner, Charlene, came out and talked to us. She was very personable and humble. Super nice lady.
Overall, the food was good and fresh. Definitely made to order. The Customer Service was outstanding. I loved the atmosphere. The music they played was mainstream pop, but it was not loud and overwhelming like most places. You can carry a conversation easily. The food prices were reasonable and fair. Don’t let the location discourage you from trying this place out. I do recommend this place. I don’t think you will be disappointed. I will be returning!

I wish I could give 7 stars. It was so good and the tenders were super crispy and hot. The staff was surprisingly extremely friendly. But the best part was the pecan cheesecake pie. Recommend 10 out of 10.
