My family and I have gone here many times for several years. This is where we’ve bought birthday cakes and treats and celebrated moments together. The food is delicious, moist, and incredibly flavorful. The employees here are top notch!
We had an incident recently where I walked it and bought 4 of the same cupcakes. One of the employees was helping the other and offered a box that was prepackaged with the exact cupcakes I wanted. Unfortunately, when I got home, the box was missing a cupcake. These things happen so I called the store and they were apologetic and offered either a refund for the one cupcake or to hold it for me to pick up within the next few days. I opted to pickup the next day. When I arrived, they were very kind and gracious and threw in a 2nd cupcake for the inconvenience. They didn’t have to, and I wasn’t expecting it, but it was incredibly kind of them.
Highly recommend them for food and service

I’ve been a loyal SusieCakes customer for years because their desserts are always beautiful and delicious. But this past weekend they went above and beyond in a way I’ll never forget.
I had ordered a cake and planned for my daughter to deliver to a restaurant. Unfortunately her cat got out and she was unable to make the delivery. I called SusieCakes to see if they could deliver on such short notice. When I explained the situation, they didn’t hesitate – they delivered the cake themselves free of charge.

Im not a fan-so sorry. I dont feel good after I eat any of the sweets ive tried. Whether its a cupcake or a recent slice of cake I tried, even if I avoid all the frosting and only eat a portion (their cakes are so tall so even a slice is too much to eat at one attempt), everything ive tried so far makes me a little sick. Maybe if I went through the ingredients they use I’d find the culprit that does not agree with me. But whats the point. I just have to stay away. I recently had a “nothing bundt cake mini” and it didn’t make me sick so im not saying all sweets make me sick-they dont.

Amazing cup cakes. I waited until second time to try the product & Im not from around Niguel area. The first time I got cupcakes n German chocolate cake. I don’t eat German chocolate cake usually or it’s been long time. But this was rich n real chocolatey, not overwhelming n tasted like high quality u order at expensive, elegant restaurant, just elegant. The cupcakes last time n just from tonight as I picked up when they were closing are consistent in quality. The cakes are fluffy, moist. Not dry, not under or over baked. I don’t know how they do it. I haven’t tasted quality like this since I visited Kenya years ago. Where u feel ur getting actual real dessert. Store ones are not really as satisfactory & normally have very little cake to frosting ratio. By the way, their frosting brings it table too, it tastes real creamy and not dry out or flakey like grocery store bought ones sometimes.
I’m gonna end with this, there’s one from tonight that tasted & looked like red velvet, it was very flavorful & velvety(if that’s a word, it was unexplainable, being honest). I was a little surprised bc red velvet cakes r generally challenging to make perfect (in my opinion at least), but this one was flavorful and the frosting was amazing, it nice and not overly sweet, like sweet- creamy, lightly dense. Their frostings are not overly sweet. The other one was peanut butter flavor tasting n was nice had a light peanut butter flavor not too much, they are pretty but simple cup cakes, attractive. Not overwhelming or over decorated or color dyes everywhere like some places from my products I received.
The various flavors I’ve had of cupcakes r consistent in texture, taste, n really fresh tasting. It has 1950’s but very modern feel to store, well lit and variety of baked goods I believe. Their chocolate chip cookies, all I can say is yummy, just enough crisp, not too hard or too soft, no too crumby either, Cookie dissolves after eating it without leaving crumbs everywhere or u having to wash it down with a bunch of water/milk, cookies were also moist & not overly, greasy very light but still satiating. Yes, chocolaty but not too much either. Overall, authentic, not greasy that’s another thing I like about this bakery. I rarely write reviews unless I’ve experienced good quality n customer interaction.
