Reviews
The place is spacious — perfect for a celebration dinner with family or friends. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
The food was fresh and delicious — especially the sushi rolls and bento boxes! Everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing.
If you’re looking for a nice spot in Whitehorse to enjoy great Japanese food and celebrate a special occasion, I definitely recommend Sushiman!
I was excited to try this place, but the sushi tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The rice was dry, and the salmon had a strange smell. Definitely not worth the price.
The food was not pleasant for us. My shrimp and yam tempura smelled fishy and like it had passed its point of optimal freshness. It was more soggy than crisp as tempura should be. The beef bento box was just beef in rolls and then a pile of that same beef. It lacked flavour, colour, and “oompf.”
The miso and side salad were the most enjoyable parts of the meal for me.
The price was very high, higher than most places we’ve dined at in the Yukon, so that contributed to the rating.
The sashimi plate was good, but we did not like much the Soba noodles. A little bit pricey actually but I guess that is the normal price around Whitehorse!
