Had a great meal last year so went back while in town. Omakase course gives you several small dishes followed by various sushi, all fresh, delicate and in season. Clean simple deco and attentive service, all for a reasonable sum for the value. Highly recommended. They can pair lovely select sakes with the courses.

This Edomae sushi restaurant has a counter-only seating area. It’s been quietly operating in Kodenmacho for many years. The chef’s choice menu, from the well-prepared appetizers to the nigiri sushi, takes a net three hours, a time that delights the palate. Chef Suzuki is a personable man, and will gladly discuss the sushi and other dishes. He also has a great selection of sake, so I always leave it to him.
The pickled ginger and cucumber served as palate cleansers are delicious, and they alone make for a great drink, but the appetizers and nigiri sushi are, of course, excellent. The fish, cooked on firm vinegared rice, and the aroma that lingers in your nose are irresistible.
If you drank and ate a lot, it would cost about 25,000 yen per person. If it were in Ginza, the price would be more than double, but the quality would still be satisfying. Unlike today’s flashy sushi restaurants, this is a down-to-earth restaurant, so I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat authentic sushi. I’d like to try it again during different seasons.

The prices are reasonable compared to other places, but the food is better than anywhere else! All of the appetizers served are delicious, too!
There’s no table time, so you’ll find yourself staying for a long time!
It’s always busy, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation 2-3 weeks in advance!

The appetizers, nigiri sushi, and each and every dish are simply delicious. I believe the flavor comes from the quality of the ingredients and the careful preparation. The seasonal seafood is incredibly tasty, both in the appetizers and nigiri. While I usually limit myself to one piece of sushi per sushi, the lean tuna and marinated tuna here are so delicious I couldn’t resist eating two. The lean tuna’s distinctive refreshing flavor fills my mouth. The marinated tuna has a rich, sticky umami flavor. The seared golden-eye tuna is also exquisite. Enjoy the savory aroma of soy sauce and the rich, fatty flavor with a light aftertaste. They have a wide selection of sake, and when paired with delicious appetizers, it’s easy to end up drinking too much. The chef is also very personable. He treats first-time customers with the same courtesy and equal attention as regulars. I left feeling incredibly satisfied after my meal. Considering the flavor, portion size, price, and atmosphere, this is the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever had. I hope it continues to last.

The chef is wonderful and has a great personality, and the ingredients and dishes are both delicate and sophisticated – everything is truly delicious!
I’m grateful to a regular friend of mine who took me to such a wonderful restaurant.
The miso soup is made by simmering fish bones and shrimp heads for six hours with a small amount of miso to bring out the flavor of the broth. When the water starts to run out, more is added, and the scum is carefully skimmed off.
In short, it’s a miso soup with the most delicious broth ever, and it’s a masterpiece that allows you to fully enjoy not only the wonderful aroma but also the wonderful flavor of the broth!
The sushi rice was also wonderfully integrated with the ingredients and was absolutely delicious!
When I put it in my mouth, the umami and aroma of the ingredients, and the gentle umami that spread as the rice dissolved, all at once, was breathtakingly delicious!
The richness and melt-in-your-mouth flavor of the fatty tuna were impressive, but the squid was also softened, retaining a wonderful texture and a sweet taste – it was also delicious! Thank you for the meal.
