Unpopular opinion: Sushi Bruce is better than Azumi’s
The food at Sushi Bruce was amazing across the board better quality, better taste, and better presentation. The waiters were attentive, the service was on point, and everything felt intentional.
Azumi is definitely good, but in my opinion, it’s more hype than substance. It’s very aesthetic and has a full cocktail menu, which is a plus if you’re going for sushi and drinks but the food itself doesn’t hit the same.
The only downside to Sushi Bruce is that they don’t have a full cocktail bar. So if cocktails are a must, Azumi might be your spot. But if we’re strictly talking food? Sushi Bruce wins, hands down.
I’ll definitely be returning to Sushi Bruce. Quality over hype every time.

Hidden gem in Fells Point / Harbor East — one of the best sushi spots in Baltimore right now.
Everything tasted fresh. The garlic edamame and jalapeño roll were a great start. The Japanese sushi rice was incredible, and both the poke bowl and sushi burrito were packed with flavor.
Friendly staff with great recommendations, and a modern but relaxed atmosphere — perfect date night. Will definitely be back.

This sushi was the best I’ve had in all of Maryland. The fish was fresh (even on a Sunday), melt in your mouth, and incredibly flavorful. The albacore was my favorite. Definitely giving Azumi a run for its money. Everything was a great size. I’ll be back ASAP

Love the roll selection but too many similar roll with similar fish just different sauce. The sushi race is really good, a good balance between sweet and sour.
Unfortunately, it’s not a kids friendly place, no kids menu and not really any options for kids.

Sushibruce Ya is 10/10! Visited yesterday for the first time and I think sushibruce is now my favorite sushi spot in the city.
Inside has a very cozy and intimate feel with modern boho decor influence. Staff was very welcoming and we were able to get seated quickly & have our order taken within the first 10 minutes of being seated.
We ordered the calamari (10/10) which was my favorite item. Cooked to a perfect crisp & seasoned well. It was very fresh also. For our rolls we got the “Who’s Your Daddy?” (8/10) & the “Hot Night Baby!” (9/10). The flavor profile on both was very good. Who’s your daddy feature a seared piece of albacore tuna on top which added a nice smoke flavor. The hot night baby was my favorite, spicy tuna on top with shrimp tempura in the inside.
One thing that I did appreciate is the menu, easy to read & straight forward. They have about 20 specialty rolls to choose from, your everyday classic maki rolls, appetizers, salads, and poki bowls. It makes it easier during the ordering process & you feel less “anxious” not having to choose from pages and pages of rolls like some other places.
Overall Sushibruce Ya was a 10/10 experience and I will definitely be back

Amazing food and service. Our server was so nice and the sushi was amazing. It’s a low key fancy ambiance which is nice. It was kinda expensive (see menu prices) but really good. They have an automatic 18% gratuity btw.

Just discovered this gem on Valentine’s Day, when we spontaneously decided to go out for dinner. Walked into to sushibruceya without a reservation and were seated within 20 minutes. Staff shared our service, so we were never stuck long waiting for our server to get around to us. We ordered nigiri — toro, uni, albacore, and yellowtail. The uni was the best I’ve ever had, and the toro and albacore were delicious! The yellowtail was the only one that I felt was nothing special, but only because it just wasn’t very interesting. It was all extremely fresh. The price was on par with other sushi restaurants, so no complaints here. Sushibruceya has shot to the top of my sushi restaurants list.

Showed up hungry and left completely stuffed. The sushi is fantastic but the Rolls are on another level. Full of flavor, packed with fish and giant (not just stuffed with lots of rice. We ordered 5 rolls and it was enough food for 4 people to share.
The “sure thing” was everyone’s favorite. It’s fantastic. We also ordered the R Lewis, Big Boss, black Dragon and Who’s your daddy.

Every dish was delicious. My favorite had to be the salmon nigiri and classic spicy salmon roll. The sushi was fresh, and the rolls had perfectly balanced flavors.

The waitress was attentive and friendly.

The restaurant had a nice decor and cozy comfort vibe. The soft lighting created a relaxing atmosphere ideal for a date night or a casual meal.
