This Sushi Buffet did not disappoint! All the food came out fresh. Tempura, orange, and sesame chicken were bomb! Only disappointment was the pork spring roll. All the Sushi rolls were bomb as well. Definitely a great go to place in The South Salt Lake Valley. Would come again.

How is this place not packed all the time?! The staff were very friendly and efficient in helping us. Phenomenally priced sushi, all which has a normal sized serving (8 pcs). I’m not saying this is the absolute top tier in Utah, but everything we tried was delicious and well worth getting. We live about 35 minutes away and plan to return here any time we are in the area.
They also have all you can eat sushi options for your dine in meal and/or a variety of different Asian dishes if you’re not up for sushi. Do yourself a favor and at least give them a try!
NOTE: Some other reviews speak poorly of the cleanliness of this restaurant. This couldn’t be any further from the truth. This restaurant was very clean from the front door to the back restrooms.

ARIANA. OUR FAVORITE SERVER. We were looking for an all you can eat sushi option since the work team recently moved from CHI TOWN BABY and we love some good sushi. We called all over and landed on sushi yu. My coworker Pamela already has visited 3 times and I have twice. We have had exceptional service each time but finally, I got the honor of meeting Pams favorite server Ariana. Ariana has the perfect personality. She matched our energy and serviced us promptly. She also observed our needs and delivered without us having to ask. Her sweet little helper, her daughter, also chimed in and had us all giggling. They were so sweet and funny and had that spunk that you just have to love. Ariana also told us about her other job ATMOSPHERE CHIROPRACTIC & WELLNESS in Lehi which was wonderful since we all work 14+ hours Monday-Saturday and need nothing more than a nice adjustment as well as treatments that sharpen cognitive function and promote “baby fat” or collagen production. Truly an insightful service from Ariana. We all waddled out, full from the delicious sushi and Ariana made mine and Pams night at the end with a simple question “pink or purple” <3 DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND RUN TO SUSHI YU NOW NOW NOW

I’ve been craving some good sushi since moving here from California, and let me tell ya, I was not disappointed! The presentation was beautiful and the sushi was all super good (and I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to sushi). What really made it a perfect experience was the service. It’s rare that you have staff that seem like they enjoy what they’re doing, but Ariana made me feel like I’ve known her for years! She has such a way with words, a great sense of humor and an overall energy that just feels great! Definitely can’t wait to come back! I’d rate the first time as 6 stars, but I’m limited to 5

Our servers were so kind and attentive! they helped us with all the questions we had! they kept us laughing and having fun! The food was SOOO delicious! Highly recommend!

The food tastes really good. Which is perfect if you are ordering a pick up/to go order.
Let’s talk about the atmosphere first. Cute. Quaint. Sticky floors. Seats are falling apart.
Now, the service for dining in, is not so good. I want it clearly stated that it does seem like a Mom and Pop kind of place that is doing all you can eat. Only 3 people were running the show. One cooking in the back one making the sushi, and one servicing the customers. This is astounding and they do a great job. This is not where they fall short.
My husband and I came and things started off somewhat well. We got our first order in and in no time it came out. We were not told what roll was what, which okay, I guess. We got back the same piece of paper now caked in food and grease from the station they made the sushi. Which again, okay, I guess, kind of gross.
We ordered our second round. More people came in, so understandingly it was taking longer. However, this is where the downfall in my opinion happened.
After waiting probably close to 30-45 min (understandably so with all the others that had just come in) we were not told that another roll was still to come. (And maybe that’s my fault that I didn’t realize we didn’t get all of our rolls.) I went to the bathroom and asked my husband to order two more rolls. He tried 3-5 different times to catch a waiters attention. Towards the last two times that he was able to get their attention he asked for a paper, or to order. They said okay and then walked away. When I got back about 2 minutes later (was in there for about 5-7 min) we sat there for about 10-15 minutes. I finally walked over to the front and kindly asked for a piece of paper. This is when they told my, rather upset at me for coming to them to ask for a paper, that I had one more roll still to come out.
Then they grab the paper and showed me. They then circled the paper (they circle the rolls they finish making) and roughly pushed it into my hand. I thanked them and sat down. I filled out the paper for two more rolls. Within two minutes they came to our table with our missing order. Instead of taking the paper, we sat for another 20-30 minutes before they came over and grabbed our other paper.
I felt like they tried to avoid us the rest of the time that we were there. I felt like they constantly looked over at us with eye rolls and annoyed expressions.
Needless to say. I think I will be giving this place a wide berth for a while.
At the very least I will be ordering take out instead. (Because the sushi still tastes amazing!!!!)

Terrible service. Terrible food. If you want to pay all you can eat prices for rice come here! Very disappointed as I will NEVER be coming back here. I now understand why no one was in here eating. The fish is very thin.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 2 years now, and it’s always been SO GOOD! I genuinely think the new server Arianna(sorry if spelled wrong) is turning this place around with the service she provides! It’s crazy how much a restaurant can improve with a great server like that! Food has always been excellent, and now their service matches it! I will keep bringing everyone I know who likes sushi to this place!
