I have been going to Yokohama for over 10 years and followed them to multiple locations around Somerville. They have amazing prices and even better sushi! Environment: Casual yet inviting, not a real loud dining but you can feel comfortable having a conversation and enjoying yourself. The place gets busy and seems to be a great family spot. Food: excellent. Presented well, reasonably priced, consistent. Would certainly recommend to anyone who likes sushi and a casual dining experience. Wanting I asked for an iced tea and got a can of Brisk ice tea, not that there’s anything wrong with that but was expected a glass on unsweetened. I guess either of us could be at fault for not clarifying or asking.

The BEST sushi spot in the area. Their kani salad is so unique, truly never had anything like it, not even at super upscale restaurants. It’s very affordable too, I usually spend around $50 for two people, appetizers and drinks included.

If I could give it more stars I would. The food is great and the staff as well. I’ve been going here for years now and they’re always so attentive. They just expanded and moved towards the center of Somerville Downtown. The place is bigger and can accommodate more tables. My husband and I went there recently and they were Covid restriction friendly where tables were spread apart. My go to is the Yummy Yummy roll with 3-4 pieces of salmon sashimi. Fish is always very fresh. Will continue to go here for great sushi!

Delicious and fresh sushi. We got the Yummy Yummy, Hurricane, and Godzilla rolls and enjoyed them very much. The three rolls took a little while to arrive but the service was nice so I can’t complain. I would definitely come back and recommend a try!
Update: they now have a Main Street roll and it’s the best. One hundred recommend this special as it has avocado, shrimp tempura, honey crabmeat, etc.
Now for my standard COVID comments as of March 2022. All staff members are wearing masks. Each table has hand sanitizer provided. Seating is pretty spaced indoors. Felt very comfortable sitting inside and enjoying my lunch!
