The fish was very fresh, the rolls were great, and even the fried items were perfectly crispy. Ramen and hibachi were also impressive.
Everything felt like specialty-restaurant quality!
Our server was friendly and attentive, and the clean, comfortable interior made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place worth coming back to
The service ( Amazing ), the staffs are quite friendly. I heard they will have more decorations coming in, can’t wait to see it.
I highly recommend this place for dating as well.
Nice bonus that they also have ramen and hibachi. It was cold out, and a few sips of hot ramen really hit the spot. Made it feel like more than just a sushi place. Service was friendly and pretty quick.
Definitely a great spot for family and friend gatherings. Great value and I’ll definitely be back.
There’s a good variety of options! Food was fresh. Took some pics of only some of the food we got, and also some that we couldn’t wait for the picture.
I would definitely come again and recommend it!!
Service was lacking a bit, but that seemed an understaffing issue, and the wait wasn’t horrible.
Plating is really nice!!
In short: I would definitely recommend and will come again
The food, however, is the real standout. You can tell they prioritize quality because the fish was incredibly fresh. Every piece had a delicious, clean taste that really showcases the skill of the chefs.
What truly made the visit special was the friendly service. A huge thank you to Kelly, who was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s easily some of the best sushi and service I’ve had in the area. I’ll definitely be back!
The photos on Google Maps look beautiful and generous. What we received was completely different. The sashimi slices were cut paper-thin — so thin that one normal slice of salmon was divided into four tiny pieces. When we asked about it, the chef said, “this is our style.”
If drastically reducing portion size is the “style,” customers deserve to know before paying.
This is advertised as all-you-can-eat sushi, yet the portions felt heavily minimized. There was more shredded carrot on the plate than actual fish.
The manager was nowhere to be found, making it impossible to communicate concerns.
To be fair, the servers were kind and professional. However, the restaurant itself was extremely disappointing.
There are many better sushi options in Indy at similar or lower prices. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. Dining here can ruin your whole day.
The ambiance was nice and fresh, with a wood and leafy plant vibe. The restaurant felt clean. The self-serve salad and fruit bar looked well maintained with no gnats or wilting. The fruit was ripe and kept cold. The ice cream machine had vanilla, chocolate, and swirl, and it was a good soft serve mix. Fresh fruit with vanilla ice cream made a solid after-dinner combo.
The tempura coating they use is not my favorite. It felt too bready on the inside and not crispy enough on the outside. Our sushi with shrimp tempura inside, the cowboy roll, did not have the crunch it should have, which was disappointing. The steak slices on top were tasty though. The tuna and salmon nigiri cuts were on the fattier side, which is not usually my preference. The fish temperature was correct. The sushi rice was about a 6 out of 10 in texture.
The menu photos did not fully match what we received. The ramen egg was pictured as marinated but came as a plain soft boiled egg. The gyoza in the photo were pan fried and showed five or six dumplings, but we received three deep fried dumplings. The vegetable fried rice did have a nice variety of well cooked vegetables, which I appreciated.
The ramen toppings were fine aside from the non marinated egg. The chashu was not as tender as it could be. The noodle texture was about a 7 out of 10. The miso broth was a 3 for me. Something felt off. People used to instant ramen might enjoy it, but anyone who has had really good ramen may not be impressed. These feel like easy fixes with a little more culinary attention.
The fried ice cream was about a 7 out of 10. Again, the tempura breading was not very crispy. Because the inside is so bready, it made it feel more like cake. You would have to try it to see what I mean.
Portions are small per order, which I actually appreciate. I do not like ordering more than I can eat and risking being charged for waste.
Overall, most items could have been improved with a little more finesse in texture and seasoning. It felt like everything was seasoned broadly without much thought to what should be salty, savory, or slightly sweet. The gyoza dipping sauce was very sweet, which caught me off guard.
Service from Tan was great. He was personable and shared a few jokes, but he seemed stretched thin due to short staffing or section assignments that had him covering too much ground.
At $35 per person before tax and drinks, the quality felt a little lacking for me. We love Sushi Club on the south side. The rice to fish ratios are great, the crab rangoon is fresh, and the lo mein and beef teriyaki appetizers are consistently delicious, all for about $29. The ramen, ice cream, and hibachi we tried here were not enough to beat our favorite. If the flavors had really stood out, it might have been worth it. For now, we are sticking with our go-to.
