Do not believe any old/bad reviews. Sushi yah is the best sushi in Utah. It is owned and run by one amazingly kind older gentleman whose only other help is his wife. This couple do everything they can to serve the most delicious sushi to each and every customer that comes through their front door. Running a restaurant is not easy and I am always in disbelief when I receive such high quality of service from two people that run a very busy restaurant by themselves. Please come in and try it for yourself. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cute, and the service is always great. I could not recommend Sushi yah more!!

I came here with a lot of my friends to celebrate a birthday, and the food was absolutely spectacular!! I tried the Crystal Crunch ($10) and Las Vegas (around $10) rolls and it was well worth the (quite) long wait, though I do think that’s because it was on a Saturday evening and it’s understaffed (according to what I heard, it’s run by one married couple, though I’m not sure if that’s true? If so it’s extremely impressive). We didn’t have to wait long to get seated, and the atmosphere was pretty comfortable and very casual, like not too new or old (think cushioned booths/wooden chairs, casual decorations, clean bathrooms with slight flushing issues when I was there , pretty plates). I believe we did wait roughly 45 minutes until the food came, but it was very, VERY delicious, and I’m saying that as a picky customer of restaurants. The serving size for one $10-ish roll is decent, like 1.5+ times what you’d find at your everyday grocery store. Overall, this is a very underrated sushi place and I highly recommend it.

Sushi Yah has been a favorite in my family for a while, the prices are pretty great, and the sushi in my opinion is really really great. The owners of the store are really sweet and the environment is such a fun but relaxing environment. (Perfect for the food coma you will get from their sushi )

I dont usually leave reviews online, but I was very impressed with this place. I came here for my brother’s birthday and I was pleasantly surprised at the welcoming environment, beautiful decor, and good food for a great price! I loved the calm, peaceful music, and quiet atmosphere, and their sushi is absolutely delicious! The lady who served us was very kind and patient with us, and I already want to go again! I look forward to bringing my girlfriend here to try it out since we both love sushi and I was very impressed and grateful for the pleasant atmosphere and tasty food. I will definitely be coming again. Thank you so much Sushi Yah for the wonderful food and welcoming environment

Prices are great, staff is very efficient and friendly. All the sushi rolls we ordered were awesome. I used to go to simply sushi, and a favorite of mine was the spicy upside down shrimp and was very sad to see they only had upside down shrimp. So, just a shrimp with rice on top. Still ordered the upside down shrimp and was surprised. It’s amazing and I would recommend anyone coming here to try them, they are topped with some ingredients and it does have a bit of spice to it! Super delicious! First time I went with my family, the waiter made some kid friendly chop sticks for our son. Great atmosphere, very clean and maintained with phenomenal staff.

My brother and I have been coming here for 5 years and have never been disappointed! Obviously it’s not a Michelin star restaurant, but the food is tasty, filling, and freshly made. For us, this place is a tradition, a place where we can enjoy a meal and catch up 🙂
