If you haven’t done an omakase-style sushi tasting, this is a great introduction, especially at the very accessible price point. The course wasn’t quite the same tier as the absolute best omakase I’ve had in Tokyo, Seattle, and DC, but the prominent places in those cities are easily double or triple the cost compared to here. This is a tremendous value for what you’re getting.

Omg! Super delicious, incredible experience. Great customer service, phenomenal flavors. Fish was super fresh, multiple option for sake. 100% recommend!

Fantastic experience! My son surprised me with this as a birthday present on my trip here from Southern California. It was my first omakase experience. It was so fun, and the people seated with us made the experience more enjoyable. The quality of fish was A+++. The variety served exceptional. The variety of sake on hand was quite impressive. Chefs Kazu and Chris were knowledgeable about what was served and interacted well with the group.

Amazing if you like this type of food. This is not an Americanized experience, so if that’s what you are looking for you may want to pass.

$60/person for omakase which is available on fridays -sundays. SO WORTH IT. Its not just good food but also an experience. I genuinely felt like i went on trip! They are really skilled with their preparation skill and each piece was so different and made very well in terms of rice:sushi ratio. We also got the drunken whale sake ($34). The chefs are so humble and have great personalities. Very easy to talk to and you can tell that they love what they do. They prepared our food and explained each dish to us. It was intimate as only 7 people were seated for omakase. Hands down – best sushi in charleston.

Absolutely amazing experience, if you’ve never been to a true omakase with sushi chefs who know they are doing, you will not find a better deal than $80 per person. Each piece was amazing and Chris was super helpful with sake recommendations. Best sushi in the state of South Carolina.

one of the best sushi meals, and one of the best meals overall I’ve ever had! If you appreciate top end sushi this is a must try. for a true 8-10 seat omakase only experience i would say it is not cheap, but very reasonable considering this is only what they do – versus other restaurants which have full dining rooms. This creates a very unique and intimate dining experience. Mostly a Nigiri meal, each serving is incredibly tender and well seasoned.

The only sushi experience that will do for us in Charleston. Comparable to the highest end places we have tried in New York. Chris and Kazu are the best kind of experts – the kind who still love what they do, and it shows. Every piece is perfectly seasoned and composed. If you didn’t like it here, you don’t get it, and that’s just fine with the rest of us.
