Small little strip mall sushi but don’t let that fool you. The sushi was amazing!!! I got the Arizona roll and monkey brain, both incredible. Rolls are around $12-20, but large and stuffed with fresh ingredients. Also comes with miso soup which was tasty as well. Will definitely be back and telling everyone about Valley Sushi

First time trying Sushi Valley. We are from the West Coast where sushi is abundant and almost always fabulous. I was stunned at the prices to start with $12-24 for a roll? Quite outrageous. 2-3 times the price generally charged for sushi. And the rolls were medium/small, and not rolled well so they didn’t stick together. The rice was cold (refridgerated) or the whole roll was, instead of room temp or fresh rice. The rice was far to sweet. The fillings were small, especially for the price. We had the seafood stir fry – fresh veg, nicke shrimp/chicken but the sauce was bland brown sauce. Not impressed. I would have to be desperate to pay those prices again.

Sushi portions have always been generous although sometimes too big for ngiri. Very limited sushi varieties. Recently prices went sky high. Owner is saying the price of fish went way up but their prices are now almost twice as high as other sishi restaurants. Presentation and atmosphere definitely don’t warrant that. I never give negative reviews, but in this case I will drive farther into Tucson to get a more fair price. I don’t know what this owner is thinking and he will either go out of business or have to rethink his prices.

My husband and I have be going here since we moved into the area and it never disappoints us. Yes its a limited menu but everything is top notch and rolls are pretty big! Best miso soup around too! Friendly and quick service! Its a top favorite for us and we can’t wait to come back for more amazing sushi for years to come!

Best sushi and miso soup I’ve ever had anywhere in Tucson/Oro Valley. I normally hate miso soup and compare it to what I think drinking dirty sock water would taste like. NOT THEIRS! THEY HAVE THE BEST MISO SOUP I’ve ever had and could eat it daily.

Sushi was good. Our server was very kind. Sushi was a little expensive, but included miso soup.

The hostess was brisk and pleasant. The miso soup was warm and comforting. The cucumber salad was crisp and tasty, but the plate was flooded with the vinegar dressing. I had the nine-piece chef’s choice sashimi for my entree: portions were generous, but some were not entirely thawed. It wasn’t the silky, buttery texture one expects, but cold and chewy with no distinct flavor beyond “fish.” It was excellent quality sashimi, just not prepared in the best way. I did not have any of the rolls, so cannot speak to them, but other diners were obviously enjoying them. Prices are high, even accounting for having to import ingredients.

Have ordered a few rolls to go a couple times now and like it enough to return, especially given the convenient location. Owners are friendly too and feels good to support a local, family owned business. That being said, it’s not the greatest sushi. Fish is fresh and the flavor profiles seem to work. My main complaint is the sheer size/sloppiness of the rolls. They are difficult to eat and in some cases, pieces fall apart all together. Certainly not the one bite pieces one expects with sushi.

Best sushi in Tucson we love the Wildcat and Oro Valley Rolls. Sashimi sallad is excellent! We’ve been coming here for a couple years now and have never been disappointed.

The Oro Valley roll was so good I forgot to take a picture of it. The miso soup was good and different than any miso soup I’ve had before, as it had imitation crab.
