Their fish is shipped directly from Japan every week so this is as fresh as it gets. My personal favorites are the salmon or eel handroll, kampachi w/Asian pear, chutoro, gindara (black cod), and salmon in mustard sauce – but honestly everything is soo good!
On top of the food being amazing, the owners Sam/Bee are the sweetest. They’re kind and you can tell they enjoy getting to know their customers. Please go support this small business!
Ps for those that are familiar with renown Hatsuyuki, the owner previously was the chef there
The sushi and sashimi were excellent — easily comparable to what you’d get at high-end sushi places. Everything tasted very fresh and well-balanced, nothing heavy or fishy, and we enjoyed every bite. It’s omakase-style but still a la carte, so you can just order what you like at your own pace.
The vibe is relaxed and comfortable, nothing too formal.
They also have a good selection of sake and beer; we tried sake, yuzu beer and green tea beer, and both were fun to try.
They do accept walk-ins, but bar seating is limited, so I’d recommend making a reservation.
If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth a visit — and even if you’re a bit farther away, it’s still worth the drive.
The menu is simple and focused, offering the same incredible quality I’ve experienced at Hatsuyuki. Everything we ordered tasted exceptionally fresh and perfectly well-balanced. It’s a walk-in-friendly spot, but keep in mind that seating is very limited. We were in a rush today, but we’ll definitely be back to take our time and try more bites!
We each had about 10 to 12 courses of sushi and hand rolls, and every one of them were fresh and of high quality. It reminds me of Tsukiji market in Tokyo… The special call out for me were the uni, seared salmon belly, toro, shima-aji with garlic puree…
The service was just as excellent as the sushi quality. The chef and his wife were extremely friendly, and keeping us, including my 9-year old daughter, fully entertained for an hour.
The environment is minimalistic and clean. We look forward to going back soon!
We weren’t sure what to expect but they really blew our expectations out the water. We’ve had high end handroll and sushi places in DFW and for us, this one is up there.
Their menu is small but everything we ordered was delicious. For handrolls, we had the crab, salmon, tuna, and eel; for sushi, the tuna (fatty, medium, and lean), yellowtail, and amberjack; for sashimi the hamachili and amberjack with pear.
The owner and his wife were also the warmest/nicest people we’ve met since moving to Allen – highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the mood for quality sushi!
My favorites were amebi with uni, hirame with truffle pesto, chutoro, akami with black garlic sauce, and madai crudo.
The chef was amazing, and I really loved tasting authentic and delicious sushi here — completely satisfied.
Definitely going back!
