Reviews
The restaurant is in a stand-alone building on Highway 41 in northern Bonita Springs. Outside, you are greeted with real gardening – mature and well-tended Desert Rose and Lotus plants, as well as statuary and a fountain. To the South is an adjoined patio. The first time I ever walked inside a few years ago, the first thing I saw was the huge fish tank in the foyer. It is quite full with plenty of living coral and the fish are lively and healthy, if often hiding, and the owners are humane enough not to have overpopulated the fish tank. A very well-tended fish tank usually signifies omnipresent quality.
To me, one of the 2 best indicators of how good a Thai restaurant is going to be (Thai is my 2nd favorite cuisine, behind Indian) is how much coconut is in their coconut-based curries. If the curry sauces are too thin and milk-like, rather than creamy, (their menu does say “coconut milk”, which would be misleading to the well-informed), it simply will not carry the flavor of the spices well.
(2 explanations: 1) *Quality coconut* is not at all like that low-grade coconut cake with flaky icing – I can’t stand that, but I love a good coconut-based curry. Also, better-quality Thai restaurants like Sushi Thai too add more coconut cream to curries to make them thicker and more flavorful and to carry the flavor of the spices better. 2) A lot of people are confused by curry. Jamaican/Caribbean curry has actual curry leaf in it, whereas for Indian or Thai cuisine, “curry” often basically just means “stew”. I have never had an Indian or Thai curry with any curry leaf, whatsoever. They are totally different dishes from Jamaican Jerk Curry.)
My 2 favorites dishes are the Masaman Curry which has avocado, potato, and cashew nuts along with your choice of protein, all in a smooth, mellow, mildly nutty coconut sauce, and the Panang Curry which has a stronger taste of peanut and coconut and a fuller variety of vegetables. I always order either chicken (unbreaded, Thank God) or fried Tofu for the protein.
The other of the 2 best indicators is their Thai Iced Tea (much better without ice) which has a very unique flavor. Better Thai restaurants, like Sushi Thai Too, have pink-colored iced tea. Lesser-quality Thai restaurants’ iced tea is more light brown coffee-colored. The flavor is semi-bubble-gummy but also earthy with a hint of clove.
Other recommended dishes: 1) the Pad Prik King which is a distinctively different take on BBQ, although not so different that one should be afraid of it; 2) the Basil Sauce entrée (fish works best) – the serving size is HUGE with so many vegetables, a lot of fish, and the delicate and distinctive herby and fruity sauce; and 3) Sweet and Sour Chicken – an unimaginative choice, but the chicken is refreshingly unbreaded, and you get plenty of pineapple and more and better vegetables and a more refined sauce than you do in traditional Chinese Sweet & Sour.
I’m not reviewing Sushi as enough people are familiar with that. I’m only reviewing Thai Cuisine and what makes this restaurant, in particular, GREAT.
This Bonita location has 3 different dining rooms (one with a full bar) as well as the patio. The décor is classy and the atmosphere is varied – each room is different. As I find at Thai restaurants in particular, the service is always hospitable and gracious. Peter, in particular, is quite the character.
This, and its 3 other locations in Naples, is a family-owned small chain where the restaurateurs obviously have a sense of legacy and go the extra mile to ensure they run a quality establishment. The ONLY way you are going to get an overall better restaurant experience is by paying enormous bucks to eat at a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Please see attached all 17 pages of the menu, in order, as well as a photo of the reception and a photo of their fish tank.
I had the teriyaki chicken with a nice salad and a bowl of rice. Along with a nice house Chardonnay.
Prices are very reasonable. The portions are huge. You could split it with your friend or loved. One service is great very attentive always cleaning. I highly recommend this place.
I felt very comfortable in this restaurant, the quality of the fish very fresh to have Sashimi and service very attended all the time.
Food in general was good but the place seems old or must need better illumination.
I will definitely come back soon
Also I want to mention the presentation is getting better.
Pricing is very attractive for what you received.

This is one of those places normally have doubts to eat in, however the experience I had was very surprising.
Quality of the food was fantastic, the variety of fish and fresh in perfect conservation. The cleaning of the restaurant was good and price mach with the quality and proportions.
I suggest to try this restaurant whenever you in the are of Bonita Beach.
Food was delicious!
I got salmon roe which is now a favorite of mine. We also ordered the happy hour spicy salmon and tuna which I was very impressed with. Full cuts inside the rolls, not the traditional cut up versus I have seen.
Also ordered beef udon that we shared. It was a huge bowl offering of noodles.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and definitely would come again.
