My husband surprised me here for my birthday, and it was incredible! The staff had me pick a raffle ticket, and I won a free beer—what a great start. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was delicious. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated how careful they were with cross-contamination and how easily they adjusted dishes for me. The service was top-notch, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was lovely. We arrived at 4:30 PM on a Friday and got a seat easily, but the place was completely packed within 30 minutes, so get there early!

A solid AYCE option if you’re looking for variety and value. The fish quality was decent on some pieces like salmon, squid, and scallop, though the rice-to-fish ratio felt heavier than at a typical à la carte spot. Overall it’s a good value for AYCE.

Absolutely loved Sushi Taku! The food came out super fast, fresh, and delicious — every roll was full of flavor. The place was spotless and had such a nice, clean vibe. The staff were really friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Definitely one of the best sushi spots around, can’t wait to go back!

I prefer the ambience of this location compared to their wicker shop. Less rushed service is evident in the quality of our food. First time trying the creamy croquette, which I loved. Ordered my usual veggie delux roll and other is godzilla roll.

High quality, wallet friendly sushi spot. Found this gem when I needed a bite while Matron was in town. Appetizers with generous portions. Delicious signature rolls. It seems to be real busy during weekends but quick service has you covered. I plan on getting the all-you-can-chomp next time

Service is friendly and prompt.
The sushi is fresh and quality is great for the price.
I love coming in for a leisurely lunch or to do some work on my laptop while I snack on delicious rolls.
The music today (2000s pop hits) is especially good!

I ordered sushi here last September and had it delivered via DoorDash. It arrived on time and was packed well. I enjoyed the dishes thoroughly. I hope to visit the actual place one of these days. Glad to see they are still around.

I’ve been to one of their other locations. I went a little crazy this time and ordered too much. I’ll probably do it again next time. The mackeral wasn’t as good as last time, but still AYCE. I enjoyed everything I ordered and will be back.

Well despite trying to hold in paper real money a coworker brought up this place there are two locations to one in wicker Park and I went to the one in Logan square because he had friends that he invited and he thought this was a budget for sushi versus going to sushi station for example or any of those sushi places where there’s a conveyor belt that can get expensive. For a buffet I was actually surprised how fresh tasting as well as the looks of the sushi. Service was atentative and friendly. Ambience was a little more modern or contemporary just like most restaurants it’s not dreary or looks like it’s from the 1970s. The only thing I did not like is the fact that you have to order once and if you order again it’s going to take a good 20 or 30 minutes for the second round for the buffet other than that I actually did like the sushi especially the eel the egg or tomato they’re salmon or sake tasted very fresh. As well as the smoke Sweet roll which if you order these individually can get expensive it seems like but they always offer the buffet it seems. The Miso soup was also good for appetizer the muscle surprisingly was also delicious too and I usually don’t like to eat mussels especially Filipino style but this is Japanese and they had a savory sweet aftertaste and not that iron taste that most muscles taste like calamari was decently good they give you the thai sweet sauce for that. Other than that I would give it four stars it’s not really a perfect five but it’s getting up there second to none. I don’t know if this would really be truly Japanese traditionally but they also have the sesame balls which is more dim sum so I kind of look at this Asian fusion for modern Asian fusion. Also the table I was sitting they had like the knats so I was a little Disturbed trying to eat trying to drive the knats or flies away. Another reason for the four stars
