We were seated immediately upon entering and opted for the 60-minute all-you-can-eat lunch deal. My wife and I ordered about 10 plates in total, but we only truly enjoyed 3 of them. One roll in particular was so unpalatable that my wife struggled to finish it… and per the menu rules, nothing could be left behind. I helped her out, but it was a tough swallow.
Overall, most dishes lacked flavor and fell flat, which was disappointing. That said, the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout our meal, and we still enjoyed the experience despite the food. It might have just been an off day in the kitchen.
We got there around 1:30 and it wasn’t busy. We sat right away and our waiter was nice and attentive. Did 3 all you can eat and ordered a salmon and crab roll for the little one. I had requested we get the little ones first and let me tell you they are quick. They had both her rolls out within a couple minutes and the others shortly after.
I had an iced green tea and tried a dragon roll and last samarai that I had picked out and I asked the waiter for two of his recommendations and went half rolls on those. I really enjoyed the quality of the fish and the rolls all were good. Something they have I haven’t personally run into was their 911 roll, they warned me it was really spicy but I enjoy extreme spice and it wasn’t bad and actually had good flavor. Gives a good burn for about 30 seconds and then dies down. Would definitely hit the spot for a good spicy craving.
I’ll definitely be back, this might have to be my new go-to for north side sushi.
No sushi chefs at the sushi bar, no bar seating, service was incredibly slow, had to ask for our check twice because server just disappeared.
Three stars because the sushi was good and music was upbeat. I think it’s time we searched for a new sushi bar or just order take out next time.
The restaurant was packed, but there is a 60 minute limit when your doing the all-you-can-eat option. We were a party of 3 and had to be placed on a wait list. We ended up waiting only 14 minutes and we were seated. You’ll leave your phone number on the wait list and they’ll simply call you.
Their menu is pretty extensive. They have photos of their sushi on one menu and more extensive second menu with just words. It’s fairly easy to follow.
The sushi is fresh and delicious. It’s not like other sushi restaurants where you wait extensive amount of time in-between orders. They are quick. The 4 waitresses constant work around the restaurant in order to ensure you are getting your orders in quickly. You don’t feel rushed at all.
I would highly recommend this establishment. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
