We ordered four sets of hand rolls, the chef’s choice sashimi, and wagyu nigiri, and everything was absolutely outstanding.
The quality and freshness of the fish and wagyu were exceptional. You can really taste how fresh and carefully sourced everything is. What made the experience even more special was that each dish was handcrafted by the chef right in front of us. He paid close attention to our pace of eating and served each piece thoughtfully, which made the meal feel very personal and considerate.
The chef was incredibly friendly and engaging, chatting with us throughout the meal and sharing stories about the area’s amazing natural environment and high-quality local ingredients. He even showed us freshly harvested vegetables and immediately prepared a salad for us. There was also an impressively large golden mushroom, which he used to make a soup on the spot; I drank it so quickly that I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo, but I did manage to take a picture of the mushrooms themselves!
The owner was extremely warm and welcoming, and even gave me a thoughtful gift, a special pair of chopsticks, which made me especially happy since chopsticks are not easy to find around here. It felt like a meaningful and memorable souvenir.
The setting is intimate and cozy, with limited counter seating directly facing the chef, creating a very interactive, VIP-like experience. If you’re looking for something authentic, this place is an absolute must-visit. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. Highly, highly recommended!

This is the best sushi in the central coast. I love the omakase atmosphere they offer. Sonny is hands down the best host there is! He lets you know the fish is fresh and will show you if you are early. I saw two fish from Hokkaido that were flown in and they tasted amazing! If you ever had sushi in Japan this will bring you back, it’s not like other sushi places here. They offer real wasabi, not horseradish, it’s the real deal.
And if you don’t like it you haven’t had real sushi!

Tucked away in this Farmers Market Food venue is a tiny authentic Japanese counter restaurant which immediately takes me back to downtown Toyko small vendor eateries. Quaint authentic setting, close and friendly sushi chef engaging with culinary expertise looking for the best fit for each customer. The fish is all fresh, mostly wild varieties many direct from Japan coastal waters. We started with fresh Toro and butter fish Nigiri perfectly prepared inches away from our seats. For next course my wife had the “fish tacos” which amounted to three delicately sushi stuffed seaweed shells. Well presented and tasty. I went with the daily Chefs Sashimi special including Toro, fresh dark red Salmon, and a few wild varieties I can’t recall but had excellent and varied flavor. The sushi chef isn’t afraid to try a little unusual flare such as finely sliced and diced sour green apples on top of the butterfish and a dash of soy to blend a sweet and sour balance bringing our out the natural fish flavor. Highly recommended if you want to experience intimate Japanese eating at the bar. Expect to sit close to fellow customers and be face to face with your sushi preparing guide. A meal can be reasonable cost if you stick with rolls or fish tacos. But we couldn’t stop trying different options, finished off the meal with a succulent rare Wagyu beef hand roll (oh my gosh it just melts in your mouth). So if you indulge as we did the tab can really add up. Don’t forget to try some icy premium Kubota Sake, it’s the best of the best. We’ll be back.

As we walked into the food market open area, I thought how can this be the amazing sushi place my daughter recommended? AND THEN, you walk behind the curtains that transform you to a traditional sushi bar with friendly chefs preparing the delicious hand rolls, sashimi and so much more. The staff was friendly and the hand rolls were spot on! It was a great experience and delicious food. We also ordered the pork belly bun which I wish we would have ordered a few more. I mentioned It was my birthday and they made our group a special tofu dessert with fruit and candy with a candle and sang me happy birthday. A very nice experience from a family owned restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.

Prices were right and service was probably the best around here. We will definitely be back and tell our friends.
Thank you Sunny and the Sushi Table chefs for a great night! We will see you soon.

The best Japanese food I have ever had in our county! Finally!!! So much was comparable to the food we ate in Japan. The owner is fun, exceptionally kind and loves to share all about what he is preparing for you! It was also my birthday and he made me special surprise treats throughout my meal. It was one of the most personal birthday meals I have had at a restaurant as they went above and beyond to make the whole experience one of a kind. The food is everything – this is a can’t miss restaurant all around!!!
Thank you Sunny!!

We went here for lunch and the food was absolutely incredible! We ordered off the menu and asked for suggestions that were not on the menu. We ate so much great food. The hand rolls and sashimi are fantastic. The atmosphere and vibes are the best! Sunny and Carlos were the best hosts, and so much fun to watch making the sushi right in front of us. We cannot wait to go back.

I stopped by expecting a sort of grab and go spot and was delighted to be led behind the curtain to a seat at the counter in the cozy dining area.
The owner, I believe he said his name is Sonny, was super friendly and recommended the hand rolls.
He did not disappoint!
Real wasabi! Fresh seaweed, and high quality fish. The flavors were light and poppin! The Yuzu and Salmon was my favorite.
I’ll definitely come back!
