Over the last six months, I have become a regular at Sushi Story, and it has never failed to impress me. From the moment I walk in, the welcoming atmosphere is evident. The staff, particularly the waitresses, are incredibly polite and always greet me with cheerful smiles.
The sushi itself is a delight. Each visit, I explore different flavors, and every bite seems to surpass the last in taste. The sushi is consistently fresh, and the portions are just right. The menu offers a wide array of flavors, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
This place has become such a favorite of mine that I introduced it to my family, who reside in Yonkers, NYC. They are so enamored with Sushi Story that they now make the journey every weekend to indulge in its culinary delights.
In my view, Sushi Story stands out as the best sushi restaurant in the area, and I can’t imagine any other place surpassing it!

Definitely my most favorite Japanese restaurant ever. This is my go to place for sushi. I’ve been here so many times and will continue to come back. The food is always fresh, high quality, and delicious. It doesn’t matter which roll you get – all of them taste really good. The service is exceptional. The waiters are super friendly. The restaurant itself is pretty small and tends to get packed especially on weekends and during dinner time. But worth waiting to get a table or getting take out.

The udon noodles were perfectly cooked, offering my favorite kind of light yet flavorful taste. On a cold winter day, a sip of the broth truly warms and comforts the entire body. The rolls were also exceptional—a delightful surprise both in presentation and flavor. Lastly, the staff were very friendly and patiently answered all our questions with great kindness.
I will certainly bring friends along next time to try more dishes from the menu.

This was my second time here, and the food, service and ambience are worth the visit. The place was busy, but they were able to promptly accommodate our party of five. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. After seated, we were pleasantly surprised by the offer of a delicious seared salmon sushi to start off with which we enjoyed. Our food came out right away, all of which were great in presentation and taste. To end the evening, we were also given some yummy ice cream dessert (which I totally forgot to take a picture of).
Definitely a great sushi spot that I recommend others to try out if you’re in the area.

Best sushi spot ever! My husband and I don’t mind the 30 min. drive, food is definitely worth it! We’re here at least twice a month, sometimes three. Some of our favorites are the seared salmon sushi (melts in your mouth), spicy bluefin tuna roll, white dragon roll and more. Amazing service and everyone is friendly. Definitely recommend

I had such a great experience here! The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the veggie udon soup was so comforting — perfectly seasoned and delicious. Perfect for the cold weather! The service was amazing from start to finish; everyone was so attentive and kind. The whole place has a super cozy vibe that makes you feel relaxed the minute you walk in. I absolutely loved everything I tried and will definitely be coming back!

wow wow wow!!! My new favorite sushi place in Bergen County! This is a hidden gem recently opened at New Milford.
The food was so great we came here two days in a row (and planning to come back this weekend too ).

A great little spot to enjoy delicious sushi with a wide variety of rolls and sashimi to choose from. This place is small and it gets busy quick so a reservation for larger groups is recommended.
My choice of sushi was the Valentine roll and with a sweet ginger sauce. It was amazing! I loved the crunch in the center and the flavor of this roll. Fried avocado appetizer is a must try.

With so many 5 star reviews I was curious what my experience would be like at this “strip mall” sushi spot. And boy were the reviews on point. While small this spot packs a lot of ambiance and great experience overall. My friend and I got dinner on a Tuesday night and the place was busy but still pleasant enough to sit down and eat. The staff was so so attentive and friendly and throughout the night we received complimentary tuna and dessert! All our food was SO tasty and fresh. This is for sure a go to spot and my new sushi pick! Highly recommend.

– rolls were decent for what they were, lucky roll and badass crab roll were the best of the 6 rolls we tried.
– not the best quality of ingredients, avocado seemed to be not very ripe and flavorful.
– “shrimp and veg tempura app” was very disappointing. not true tempura. We expected a light batter but got a very heavy breading instead. I wish there was more variety in the “veggie” and not just three fried eggplants and one sweet potato that didn’t seem in-season.
– the “jalapeño pepper app” did not have any jalapenos and instead was a red bell pepper. So that was disappointing and misleading.
– we ordered online and pick up time was accurate
– free parking out front
– small dinning space inside, but we did take away so we can’t speak to the in-house dinning experience.
– spent $80 total, dinner, take out.
Overall, we would not come here again. Disappointed in the quality of ingredients and found items to be overpriced for what we got. Misleading menu items.
