This place is closer to authentic sushi restaurants compared to others, and I appreciated the owner-chef’s dedication to the food. Although a new employee somewhat ruined the overall atmosphere, the food was above average, and we ordered various dishes to our satisfaction. In many other Japanese restaurants, the rice in sushi is often kneaded like a rice cake, which falls apart in the mouth and doesn’t harmonize with the fish. I was cautious about this place, but here, the rice grains were intact, and the balance between the fish and rice was just right. Except for the grilled salmon head, all the dishes were excellent. The atmosphere was good, and I liked the wide selection of drinks and menu options. It was a meal worth every penny, and I think I will visit this place often. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ordered the Spicy Philly roll (left) and Heart attack roll (right), KFC Roll had a nice crispy toping, and the Flaming Lion Roll! The classical piano music set a nice atmosphere without repeated songs.

First off Takoyaki! The atmosphere was very calming, classical music was playing. We got the Takoyaki and fried calamari for apps, then Rainbow and 911 rolls for main, and sesame balls for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our server was very kind. Can’t wait to come back.

I love the more traditional atmosphere with relaxing background tunes. The sushi is consistently delicious, no matter what we try. This is our favorite sushi place in Eugene/Springfield!

Seaweed salad was the best we ever had! I recommend the ranibow poke bowl or tsunami roll. Both dishes were delicious and spicy. The restaurant is beautiful. When our food came out, I was surprise how it was beautifully presented. Wish we gotten our sever name. She was very helpful and took very good care of us. Definitely got our craving for sushi fixed. We will be back soon!

Uninspired and plain yet overpriced. Lacks creativity and beauty usually found in a nicer sushi place. Not impressed.

We have been looking for a fabulous sushi restaurant since we moved to Eugene. This place is it! No sugar or added dye to rice, fresh fish, great selection, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and pretty swift service. Our new got to spot, I highly recommend it.

Glad we decided to try it. Just walking by at the last minute the night before a Ducks game. The chefs work pretty hard here, they kept up with a full house. I’m thinking the sous chefs were on the ball. Miso soup a bit salty. Hamachi roll was pleasant, tuna roll ok, beef teriyaki a bit salty. That said I usually don’t consume a lot of sodium. Atmosphere was jovial. Most people were eating so it wasn’t too loud

Pros:
1. Nice atmosphere
2. Friendly service

Cons:
1. Slow service. We waited 20 minutes for three rolls of sushi rolls.
2. Mediocre foods. We ordered the flaming lion and SOS, but both were not up to their standards. The rice were mushy, scallops were burnt, and crabs were tasteless. Both were $17 each, which are expensive for the quality. In addition, shirmp tempura and house special roll were not good either. The house special roll looks like California roll for $13. Come on!
3. High cost for mediocre quality.

I ate here twice while visiting Eugene. The Sashimi Bento and the Guydon were both fresh and with nice portions of tasty food. The restaurant’s atmosphere is calm and relaxing
