My friends and I visited this part of Brooklyn to come and try this place after browsing for sushi options in the area, and we were extremely pleased with our decision! The staff were SUPER sweet, and our drinks and food were amazing 🙂 The decor was also very pretty! Would highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to Shiro Sushi almost every week because the food can be good. However, the biggest issue is consistency, and lately it’s been getting worse.
The flavors are not always the same from visit to visit. One time I was served food that was cold, and on another visit I unfortunately found plastic in my food, which was very disappointing and concerning.
Service has also been inconsistent. Sometimes the servers seem too busy talking among themselves, which makes it hard to get attention. That said, the food runner was really kind and helpful, even though there was a language barrier due to limited English, which I appreciated.
There used to be a few staff members here who were genuinely great, but they’ve all left. I’m writing this because I hope the owner pays more attention to what’s happening. If they truly care about the restaurant, addressing consistency, food quality, and service would make a big difference.

Absolutely amazing experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, and every roll was beautifully prepared. The menu had a great variety, from classic favorites to creative specialty rolls. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from start to finish. Service was quick without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. This is easily one of the best sushi spots I’ve been to—I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others!

Can’t comment on service and atmosphere but the take out food I got was so bland. I ordered spicy salmon rolls, on their menu it didn’t say with ‘crunch’, however when it came, 80% of the roll was just crunch. Seems very stingy/cheap. Age dashi had barely any dashi…

The sushi was insanely fresh, flavorful and presented nicely, the appetizer was delicious as well. The service up front was slow and they missed some things but as more staff arrived it definitely got really strong. The atmosphere is really nice and the environment is beautiful, but it was quite cold in there.

I ate at Shiro November 4, 2025 (today), and it was outstanding. My daughter and I had the lunch special ($20 for 3 rollls, miso soup and salad). My spouse had the sushi and sashimi special. We also ordered garlic and sea salt edamame. The sushi was super fresh, well prepared, and we received excellent service. We went at a time that was less busy (about 3:45ish) so I don’t know what it’s like at peak times, but there is an bar area with several seats and a small upstairs area. We will absolutely be returning to Sushi Shiro. Loved it.

We had an amazing experience for an impromptu lunch while we were in the neighborhood. The service exceeded our expectations, the ambiance was great, the food delicious, and the price was right. The server put on cartoons for our son, and was very attentive and positive. The chef prepared our platter with care. Highly recommend the Williamsburg roll. And the bathroom was spotless, with elegant decor and a touch of humor. I always judge a place by the bathroom and this one was gorgeous! I wish I took more photos but you’ll just have to see for yourself!
