Service was stellar. The sushi was pretty good. There were a few items that we didn’t like…
baked mussels. The sauce smelled bad and had me gagging.
The short ribs were also not great. It was super chewy and the flavor wasn’t great.
But other than those two, it was good. Especially for the price. If you come later, the last call for all you can eat was 1030.

I recently dined at this sushi restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The fish was incredibly tasty and fresh, making every bite a delight. The quality of the sushi truly stood out. One small suggestion would be for the staff to smile a bit more to enhance the overall ambiance. Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely recommend this place to others.
+ you can bring your own alc*** beverages.

The food is good, but the service is HORRIBLE!! Servers seem like always in a bad mood. She looks so small, but her face looks so mean! I came a lot with my friends so many times, and the service always been like that bad! But this is a rare instance where I regret tipping them consistently well. We were still eating and she came over to ask if we needed anything else… The timing and tone felt like we were being rushed out. A little rude, to be honest!

Amazing selection of sushi, everything is always fresh and tasty. My husband and I come here once a month for the last 4 years. Whenever we choose something else for going out it never quite lives up to sushi saga!

Servers never smile. Food ordered off the regular menu is terrible and bland. Udon vegetable soup had minuscule amount of vegetables and taste was awful…shumai portion was tiny and aged tofu was completely bland and void of flavor. Charged for 2 sodas instead of one. Automatic service fee added to bill and then suggestions on. Receipt for ADDITIONAL TIPPING! Scammy. 4 people in our party were expected to put buffet orders on same menu paper leading to confusion and extra waiting since all parties had vastly different requests. Very weird. Employees appeared not to understand that I wanted the check even after asking and rudely stuck it standing up in the middle of the table. So nope not happy with this place. A lot of Nickle and dining. Overpriced for what you get.

The Saba (Spanish mackerel) sashimi here is ‘しめ’ed. That means vinegar marinated. It’s very tasty for sashimi lovers.
———————————–I don’t know what happened to my old post. I went visit this place and found my posts were gone. This is currently the second best choice for me if I want to go to the same type of restaurant. This means the choices and taste are better than any other all-you-can-eat order style Japanese restaurants I could find from my list… Price is reasonable and the service is good… I recommend it to anyone who is interested in this kind of restaurant…

I’ve been to Sushi Saga a few times, their food typically good. I have only done all you can eat, which is very affordable, especially for both the quality and quantity that I typically eat.
Their shrimp tempura is especially good, and I enjoy their hand roll quite a bit (although so some it could be too much rice), sweet potato rolls & spider rolls are all very enjoyable as well. Their sashimi is interesting as the thickness and cut tend to vary plate to plate, some times I get smaller thin pieces and other times I get much larger pieces.
The service here is just okay, the food generally arrives fairly quickly, however I’ve encountered several situations where they were missing items I ordered such as salad, tempura etc. They are not super attentive to your needs, so often times you’d have to wave them down if you need something i.e. more hot tea, napkins, or additional utensils.
Overall it’s a place I keep coming back down, it’s a good place to enjoy sushi with friends and for a date night out or even a post work out meal. I’d recommend with the caveat that you’ll be getting good food with okay service.

This is our go-to AYCE sushi in the area! The specialty rolls are varied and all good, and the kitchen appetizers are great. It’s a reliable option and certainly better than other AYCE spots in the Edison/Metuchen area!

We found this tiny venue few months after we moved to Middlesex county and we never left it. Peculiarities of this venue? You check-mark what you wish to eat, chef will make it for you from scratch, you see them, and you will eat the food you like! I, personally enjoy this place because it’s clean, food it’s fresh and good, and you consume what you want and there is no need to overeat. Food presentation it’s nice, too. Thumbs up for Sushi Saga!

When we went it wasn’t very crowded which was a bonus, the food didn’t take long to get there. The waiters were nice, pretty decent experience.
