Does anybody know what happen to Sushi Runner in Palmetto Bay?
That place was disgusting. It used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but then I started finding all type of disgusting hairs in my food.

Today we decided to get Sushi Runner for lunch. We have ordered before and was pretty good. But today I ordered the Crazy Poke, Beef Teriyaki bowl and Gyoza. The Crazy Poke looked appealing- I did call and let them know that the crunchy onions were stale. The person that answered thanked me for letting them know. I took them out to at least be able to eat the meal (at $22 why wouldn’t I!) The Gyoza were very small and a bit over fried.
My teeneager said the teriyaki was ok and the vegetables that accompanied were not seasoned- not sure if that’s how they are supposed to be. The portions were reasonable. I don’t mind paying for good food but unfortunately this wasn’t that time that the food was worth it. ☹️

The first time I came here, I didnt have the greatest experience. I ordered a poke bowl, and it came to me with the tuna and salmon coated in mayo-based sauce. Poke bowls usually just have the sauce on top. I made my stomach turn. And I felt sick. I asked for them to switch it out for something different, and got the rainbow roll instead. It was very good. Very fresh.
The second time I came, I ordered a couple of rolls with someone else. They were also very good and fresh.
Today is my third time coming. I ordered a rainbow roll and a Danny roll. The rainbow roll is fresh, as always. The Danny roll is…decent. It would be better without so much sauce on top of it.
Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 is 50% off, for dine in only. Great deal. When I ordered, the guy at the counter reminded me that it was fine in, after I already told him it was for here. Whatever.
So the food comes, I realized I ordered wayyyyy more than I would probably eat in one sitting. I asked dude for a to-go box, just in case I couldn’t finish it all. He told me no and said it was dine in only. I tried to explain to him that I understood and that I planned on dining in, however in the case I couldnt finish both rolls, I didnt want to waste my food. He acted as if he understood, and left to get what I though was a to-go box, along with the extra ginger an wasabi that I asked for. He came back with only ginger and wasabi, and said nothing else. Okay, whatever.
But THEN…I overhear him laughing to the girl behind the counter about how I asked for a box. That was extremely unprofessional of him.
Regardless, I put my leftovers on one plate and covered it with the other plate and left.
Aside from the questionable customer service I received, it’s a pretty good spot for sushi. Still not sure if I’ll be ordering another poke bowl, I’m a bit scared by my last experience. ♀️

Oh man! Wow ok I need to share that the Taste of this sushi is amazing!! the chefs and preps here must have some magical hands, for it to come out so tasty and fresh I don’t know but definitely coming back may God bless the whole place lol the service was amazing Kenny was who helped but mostly all the staff was amazing at customer service so glad I passed by

Tasteful sushi, at a good price. Their 2 for 3 sushi rolls are a good deal! Totally recommend Nikki Beach roll . They have a great drive thru system that you don’t have to get out of your car to pick up your order and a fast delivery system as well.
