This place was a recommendation from my son who lives in Grass Valley. Once we got to the restaurant the waitresses were very nice with big smiles and welcoming g attitudes. We were seated promptly and drink orders were filled. The ambiance was very quiet with light music playing in the background, we could hardly hear the other patrons conversations. The waitress gave a few minutes to make our decisions and we placed our orders:

My wife ordered the Unagi with rice
My son ordered a large Sushi Bowl
My sons’ wife ordered a large Sashimi Bowl
To my surprise ALL the food was devoured as we sat there sharing stories and having light conversation. Our waitresses made sure all water glasses were full and that our Tea Cups were always full. I did not expect such a nice SUSHI Place outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. My wife and I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where the Sushi Places are only trumped by JAPAN. Thank You Sushi Q for a wonderful dinner and for giving us the opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style. Good food, good service and a nice atmosphere goes a long way with me and my family.

Sushi Q is hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had! I’ve lived in over 8 States, and have tried dozens of other restaurants. Try their double D. It’s a modified fox roll. It’s not on the menu, but they hang it in the kitchen.

some rolls are great and some are really small for 17.00. No pics so you do not know what you are going to get. This time it was all small rolls so we went home hungry after a $100 meal. They charged us for ponzu sauce. Who does that? I guess they need that extra couple dollars. Just an average place at a premium price.

Always been my favorite sushi joint. I love the servers! I’m always running my mouth instead of figuring out what to order and they are so good about giving me *sigh* extra time. The Shiso roll was exquisite with that zesty fresh leaf to seal it all together. Yum

The sushi was quite good, the service was great and the place had good ambiance. We showed up without reservations and that did lead to a hour+ wait, I wish the visibility on this was better but can’t blame restaurant for it. The drinks were priced reasonably too. Loved it.

Food was so delicious!! We didn’t have a reservation but the hostess was kind enough to seat us. Waitress was okay. My bf and I shared a salad to start and she kind of gave us an attitude when we wanted new plates for our main meal. I didn’t think it was such a huge request, I just didn’t want to mix the flavors of the leftover salad dressing with the sushi rolls we got. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back.
