Awful experience! My date ordered a chicken dish and I ordered sushi. My sushi came ten minutes after her chicken dish was brought out. Also, one of the waitresses continually bothered us about “changing out our soy sauce bottle” which, after I finished my sushi rolls, I informed her that she may. Right as she left the room where we were seated, she made a loud, snide remark to the rest of the wait staff about myself and my date. We asked to speak to a manager and two young men parading as “managers” came out and proceeded to ask us what “we think they should do about it?” All we wanted was an apology, but when the waitress came out to apologize, she said she was only sorry there was a “misunderstanding”. They were so gracious as to offer to take $10 off our bill but later came back, saying that they had already run the card and there was nothing they could do about it. We left insulted and exhausted. Worst restaurant experience ever!

We just ordered take out from Sushi Popo and the service was awesome… Very friendly. The food was ready quickly, the order was correct and we loved our food! We ordered Burnt Nut Chicken, extra spicy!! It was indeed spicy! The Dry String Beans are like a drug and I found myself licking the sauce off the bowl.

Food always takes forever. Usually you are lucky if there are 2 people working. Once we were here 2 hours from beginning to end because of the service taking forever (turned out our waiter ran to the store) we didn’t get our drinks until he came back then when we finally got our food it was wrong. Didn’t get our appetizer at all and the hot tea was cold. Last time we went was definitely the last time. They were out of toilet paper despite having 2 places in the same shopping center selling TP. There were used poopy napkins in the trash. Probably days worth. The smell was horrendous. When I mentioned it to the waitress she was very rude.

Ordered generals chicken for take out. Sauce was watery and the only flavor we could discern was hot pepper. The chicken tasted like it was just fried and then drizzled with water and peppers. Our meals were half broccoli, which is disappointing when you pay $10 a meal. At least the service was nice. Will never be going back though.

I’ve always had excellent service at Sushi Popo. They’re always kind and prompt. They make a point of learning who their returning customers are, so they know what I drink, which entrees I usually order, and even which table I prefer to sit at. I’ve never had a bad meal, and they’re always able to get me in and out with time to spare on my lunch break.

Overall quite good. Surprisingly good miso soup. The sashimi could be cut a thinner as was gagingly large, and I missed some of the white shaved cabbage that normally comes with it. Sushi pieces where lovely.
The service was attentive however missing things like a glass delivered with the beer or not having chopsticks are basic things waiters should notice. I hate being given a check before being asked if I would like something else or even a desert. When will America ever get this?
The soap dispenser sprayed soap all over my shirt and the toilet didn’t flush…Not great first impressions but I would go back certainly!

I suggest that you look for another Asian restaurant and it would be a waste to give this one a try. Very disappointed with the service and experience. To the owner of the restaurant who walked out crying after our complaints about the food and wait, we were just trying to have a conversation with you as none of us have ever been unsatisfied when it is so expensive. All of the sauces were watered down, the teriyaki tastes like beef broth, the meals all came at different times and with no flavor. I understand you tried very hard, but we tried very hard to like it by using different sauces. We are sorry that we made you sad, but not sorry about speaking up. I really hope you make some changes because right now this is #sushipoopoo

Maybe we went on a bad night but the service was very strange and our food arrived at several different times after a long wait. The waitress couldn’t be friendlier or more accomadating but something must have been awry in the kitchen. We also thought it was odd to sit in a more private room but still have to talk loudly over annoying loud techno music (Balligomingo). Food was average at best. We had to wait at least 25 minutes for simple mochi ice cream balls.

Ordered 50 dollars worth of sushi and had a dead bug laying right on top. Took pictures called them back and they said they would refund us. Never got the refund and couldn’t even eat any of the sushi after that.
Two weeks later still haven’t received the refund and not once have they returned my phone call.
