I actually really loved this place and the concept. You order on your phone and they bring it, yet the wait staff is still attentive. Recommend the hamachi combo A. The fish is buttery soft. Miso soup isn’t watered down and is awesome. Condiments already on the table. Beer is $5. I will be back!

This place has changed a lot in the last 2 years: smaller portion sizes but still charging expensive prices. Pork belly rice bowl has 5 slices of thin pork over a huge bed of rice for $16, outrageously expensive for the quantity of meat. Additionally, the meat was slightly undercooked with some parts still hard and had a very gamey taste. Wouldn’t recommend.
Also ordered the korean fried chicken. Never had korean fried chicken that had no batter on it, let alone being double fried like its supposed to be. Taste was fine but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re expecting actual korean fried chicken.
Additionally, service is non-existent. They’ll serve you water and food but no check-ins to see how everything is and not even refilling water. Unfortunately, it’s hard to tip the waiters well when the waiters don’t even do the bare minimum.

My favorite spot for lunch in hillsboro Village. I’ve been a few times now and every time the service is always so friendly. The food is delicious and fresh and it’s never a long wait. I got a ton of food and a large house sake for under 40 bucks. So, the value is insane. If you don’t drink a really satisfying lunch, here is under 30 bucks easy. I recommend this place to students on a budget, locals that love sushi and travelers taking a break from southern fare.

We ordered beef pho, agedashi tofu and tempura. We could warm up our body by delicious beef pho because the outside was so cold. Tempura were crunchy but the coating was little bit powdery. I love their decoration of Christmas tree because they ornamented with Japanese lanterns and umbrellas.

This is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants around for the value. Out of the many times I’ve dined in or taken out I have never had a bad experience. Their food is consistent and their prices are fair. The staff is also always friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a restaurant to be your “usual joint” come and try Sushi 88.

Came right when they opened in the late morning. The service was very fast and the food was delicious. The inside is nice and has a big roll up garage door which would be nice in the evening. There’s a really big front porch which looks very nice to eat an afternoon meal at.

Went in about 2 on a Friday. There was only 1 other table occupied. Our server was really nice and kept our glasses full. The food didn’t take long to come out. Everything we had was really good. I had the udon noodles, and we shared fried rice and spring rolls. My husband had crab salad and sushi.

The chicken teriyaki bento was the best bento box I have ever had. The meat was extremely tender, and it comes with two spring rolls, a full, well-sized California roll, and edamame. I was already thinking about when I could come back here, as I was eating

It was my first time visiting this place. We ordered wontons, miso soup and sushi. We had to ask for the sweet and sour sauce. The waitress had an attitude about it. We was never offered refills on out drinks which pissed me off bc the manager refilled the table next to us and walked right past us (we was there first). The miso soup was delicious. Everything else was just decent. And they dont have any kids menus…
