Everything was amazing – the ambience, the waiters, the chefs, and the FOOD! The fish was well prepared, well thought in designing a dish that brings a whole bite bursting with flavors. The chefs were focused but friendly, taking the time to explain the dish to all customers. The staffs were attentive and catered for our requests, and even helped me with the coat! 9.5/10, would come back anytime (leave the 0.5 for more personalized experience)

Had the most delicious omakase here on a date night (great place for both!)

Each piece was done with a creative approach, which I appreciated. The Flavor Bomb was a definite fave. A burst of unique flavors that you wouldn’t expect to go together….but they do, so well.

Staff is very professional & friendly.

Very reasonably priced at $150 per person, I’d definitely come back.

Sushi Ouji is hands down my favorite sushi spot. The prices are surprisingly affordable, especially considering the elegant and luxurious ambiance that makes every visit feel like a special occasion. The decor is sleek and refined, creating a calm and upscale atmosphere without feeling pretentious.

What truly sets Sushi Ouji apart, though, is the quality of the fish. Every piece tasted incredibly fresh, and I was impressed to learn that all the fish is sourced directly from Japan. You can really taste the difference. Each bite was clean, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.

Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for a memorable dining experience, Sushi Ouji is well worth a visit. Great value, beautiful setting, and top-tier sushi make it a standout.

I’m not sure why the reviews say this is a reasonably priced omakase but maybe that was before they raised the price to $149 (as of Nov 2025).

For that price, you get 3 starters, miso soup, 8 pieces of sushi and a dessert.

The quality was very good but not outstanding. The best thing was the miso soup which has a seafood broth mixed in (delicious!).

Overall a decent meal but felt too expensive for what you get. Definitely a one and done.

What a wonderful experience! The food and service were top-notch. We deeply appreciated the staff’s attention to detail, especially how they noted that my husband is left-handed and plated his food and drink accordingly. That was such a special touch. We will absolutely recommend this spot to others

What an outstanding experience, every detail was thoroughly thought out.
From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and attentive, the host Kevin was exceptionally enthusiastic and energetic, you could plainly see how much he enjoys what he does.
The Chefs were very efficient and treated every course with the same care and patience. The servers/support staff are exceptionally pleasant, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was great, our first appetizer was a Japanese mackerel tuna with a tangy onion sauce and a ginger jelly that we couldn’t get over. The last course before dessert was an absolutely delicious roll with what seemed like every fish from the sashimi assortment with pickled vegetables. Not to mention everything inbetween was just as good.
All in all I think it was a fantastic night out and a good value for the food and service, give them a try.

We came to Sushi Ouji to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and it was an incredible experience! The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely spectacular. My personal favorites were the tuna and eel bites, but honestly, every dish was phenomenal.

The sake pairings were a perfect complement to the meal, and the staff was knowledgeable in recommending options. For the quality of food and service, the pricing is very reasonable. If you’re looking for exceptional sushi with a warm and inviting atmosphere, Sushi Ouji is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Hard to overstate how amazing our experience at Sushi Ouji was. Just as good as anything we had in Japan. When we arrived, it definitely felt like we were transported there. Some highlights were the otoro, the uni, and the salmon roe bowl, but there were zero misses. It was expensive, but not outrageous compared to other New York omakase experiences.

Recommended with no hesitation!!

You’d appreciate their craftsmanship and attention to details. Sashimi was fresh and treated sophisticatedly – wood smoked, fresh cut, fermented. Such surprisingly new flavors in fishes I’ve had before.

Beautiful selection of plates and cutlery as well!

All in all great experience and HIGHLY RECOMMEND:)
