We love Sushi One but probably won’t order again during season. Tried to place a pick up order & was told call back later. Tried again later & was told 45 minutes & pick up order will be ready. Of course it wasn’t but we’re used to that…but I hope whoever got the appetizers that we paid for enjoyed them. I get it should’ve checked the order before we left, but my husband was handed 3 bags & just wanted to get home. One of the bags was just napkins chopsticks & soy sauces lol.

Something has changed. We picked up a large order of sushi on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was busy. But, the sushi rolls did not taste freshly made as they used to. The fish was not as fresh and the rice seemed sticky and starchy, like it was premade some how. Disappointed.

Good food with a fantastic atmosphere. The grouper platter comes with three large pieces of crispy grouper and a side of your choice. Believe me, two people could easily share one grouper platter. The rum runner drinks were absolutely delicious (I had two, so there!)
The tiki bar atmosphere blends in with the Marco Island surroundings and has a great vibe! We were there on a chilly evening, but the restaurant has portable heaters that did a nice job keeping things comfortable. Our server was a delight and very helpful with the menu.
My advice… go on a beautiful afternoon, evening, or night. You might have to wait because it’s not a large place and it is popular with the locals and visitors alike.

The rolls were lacking any flavour. We took six different types and all of them were very mediocre unfortunately. We had a hard time finishing them, although we usually love maki rolls. Did not taste like Asian cuisine at all. It would be better if the restaurant could invest in chef’s training or hire a professional sushi chef. The staff were lovely.

I was really hoping to enjoy this more than I did. The volcano roll was all rice, with spicy crabmeat on top. The dynamite roll just did not taste fresh. The basic green salad also had some interesting dressing that was all clumpy and had a bitter taste. Not the typical ginger dressing that’s served with this salad. I did not feel that this food was safe to eat sadly.

My family and I have been coming here for years , and it never disappoints. Our favorites are the Kamikaze ( topped with the best spicy tuna in the world ) and Red Dragon rolls, the Seafood salad, Salmon Teriyaki , Tuna Tacos and the Hamachi Kama. The service is consistent , warm, and prompt. The owner/operator Norio is super humble and kind. He always stops by our table to say hello . Once he even left, went to the store and brought our kids back ice creams ! WE LOVE SUSHI ONE .

A bit of a long wait once seated, but it was a busy Friday night I suppose. Prices about standard for sushi, but the rolls were big, generously meaty, and well presented. So I’d say they were a good value. Would go again!
