This is my first time commenting on google map and I have to say something, otherwise I just can’t sleep. This is the worst valentine I had ever. I booked the valentine omakase experience like three or four weeks again (1.22). And we received a message from the restaurant saying that “ they were very excited to place us at the Patio Table” just two hours earlier than the reservation. When we are making the reservation, there is no place to choose where to seat and if I knew I had to seat outside, I wouldn’t make this reservation. We called several times complaining about the seat but the staff just told us they were full and cannot make a change; all other customers have confirmed the reservation and if we do not like it, they can refund to us. ??? You never tell me about the seating until the last time and how can I find a substitute in such a short time.

Because of the holiday, we still go there. And the patio table seat was different from the pictures they have shown on Tock. It was 12C outside in Los Angeles, the street was empty and we were like a dumb seating outside. The other party also seat outside and shortly they were moved inside. I asked the server why they move inside and server said they are on the waitlist. The manager comes and explain this is because they book the reservation earlier than us and they can be earlier to make a change. That being said, the restaurant was randomly assigned seating for us.

We waited until 8:10 the manager moved us inside. The manager explained that they had received many reservations earlier than us ( ??? When we are making the reservation, there is may vacancies) and many the website does not show or we miss the seating info. We checked many times the option we chose does not allow seating so that was not acceptable for us. The response actually makes it seem like the restaurant is being generous (whatever seating you get, we move you inside, ok?), as if our frustration and unfair experience don’t matter at all.

And we finally had our dinner at 8:30 which was one hour later. When we are waiting outside, we only get water. The food was ok and the service afterwards was ok. (Not surprising and not capable of compensating my frustration and anger). The waiting time and the seat assignment was ridiculous making my valentine worse. Btw the experience was prepaid so even in this case, 20% service fee was charged.

Phenomenal sushi omakase. Staff went above and beyond to explain every dish, and the courses were well paced. Restaurant decor was beautifully arranged as well.

Sushi Note was a great experience overall. The fish was super fresh, beautifully presented, and full of delicate flavor. The omakase felt thoughtful and balanced, and the service was friendly and knowledgeable without being too formal. It’s a bit pricey, but you can really taste the quality. A solid spot for sushi lovers looking for something refined but still relaxed.

This place should be called Sushi Heaven! The chef is a true maestro, passionate about every dish he serves. With an excellent selection of wines and outstanding service, you’ll feel truly taken care of. This isn’t just another sushi spot—it’s a life-changing experience.

Great place for dinner. The restaurant is cozy and service is attentive. We sat at a booth and everyone in our party each had the Whole Note omakase.

We did not do any of the formal wine or sake pairings offered and instead ordered sake and beer a la carte. I’m posting pictures of everything we had that evening. I could imagine this being a nice place to bring a date.

Dinner was delicious and well paced. Can highly recommend this restaurant.

First of all, get the Black Cod, it was amazing! Then get anything else you want on the menu, it will be fantastic!! My daughter and I do a lot of daddy/daughter sushi nights and this night at Sushi Note is the best meal we’ve ever had. We went back for additional plates for a few items. We didn’t get wine, but it looks like they have an excellent selection. We loved everything we were served. The prices we’re good for the high quality of sushi. I can’t recommend this place enough. We’re coming back when we visit LA again.

We spent an amazing anniversary dinner date here.Sat inside (not at counter) and had excellent service. The sommelier Cherry was exceptional – gave perfect amount of overview of the wine pairing and really excellent wine selection with the courses. My favorite was the first course of a sesame tofu dish and the toros. I have a hard time keeping up with coursed meals (small stomach) – you can give the Chef a heads up and they will serve each course with half rice which helps! Loved our meal and experience and plan to come back!

We have the full note omakase which I will say didn’t blow my mind but was very good. If you want over the top creations this is not your place but if you want very fresh simple yet very good flavors, Sushi Note should be on your list. We sat at the sushi bar so we can have the experience of watching the sushi chefs make their creations. It was very difficult to hear since it was kinda loud in the restaurant so had a hard time hearing the chef explain each dish as it was placed in front of us nonetheless we enjoyed each bite. The other downside was that the menu states 12 pieces of sushi but we only got 10 when I looked back on my pictures and no mention to us of the change. Omakase full note was $140/person. Staff was very friendly and liked the ambiance but definitely a place where I’m pleased with the meal but with so many places to eat in LA.

We had the omakase experience and the food was fantastic. Probably in the top 5 sushi restaurants that I have been to. I highly recommend it. The food it self was very well balanced and heavy focused on sushi which is a very positive thing.
The only negative this I would point out is that during the beginning of the meal we did feel a little rushed, however shortly after a lot of food came out at the same time but then it was ok.

Our favorite neighborhood sushi spot! The scallop sushi is our favorite and is not to be missed. Ambience is simple, cozy, and inviting. Our server, Thea, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, kind, professional, and so attentive! We will certainly keep coming back here!
