We had pretty low expectations given that we were trying to get sushi in middle of the mountains in CO, HOWEVER, this place is over the top. Fresh , perfectly prepared fish/sushi. The owner was at the restaurant and checked in multiple times. Our waitress, Pink, was there whenever we needed something without overshadowing our conversations. Perfect service with quality food . 5* experience. We literally made a reservation while sitting at our table for our next trip. A must-visit place when you are done with the slopes.

Not the only sushi in Grand County but definitely delicious. Super Fresh ingredients. Great specials. Full drink menu a decent bar

The best part of the meal was the ginger and Coors. Overpriced, bland, and concerning colors of raw fish are making me wonder if we will be spending some time with the porcelain throne gods tonight. Trust a local: Save your money and get some sushi from Safeway.

Service was great but sushi was okay. We spent $240 for just 2 of us. I understand it’s located in the mountain town but still the price is so outraged for the amount of food you will get.

Not a good place for groups!
On a group trip, my party was looking for a place to celebrate our friend’s birthday night and called up Sushi Nama. We were told immediately that they could accommodate 14.
Upon arriving, We were left with no assistance for 20 minutes as we waited to ask our waiter questions about the menu, with only 2 other small parties present at the restaurant. Once we ordered, they rarely returned. We never got waters refilled or were checked in on, despite trying to signal help a few times. Our waiter was friendly, but they were clearly understaffed and unable to accommodate a group of our size. Half the party got food relatively quickly while others waited up to 2 hours for Pad Thai. In all the chaos, a friend with a sesame allergy was served, and accidentally ate, sesame seeds.
Several people debated leaving to get fast food after 1.5 hours. Getting us our food took until after closing and the kitchen staff was very clearly getting upset about serving us and talking poorly about our group for asking for time updates, which added to our discomfort.
I understand serving a large group can be overwhelming, but we would have much preferred to be told they don’t have the resources to serve us so that we could have made better arrangements, rather than waiting 2 hours for our food with rude service and allergy contamination.
To add insult to injury, there was an automatic 20% tip for our group size (which we would have been more than happy to pay with even average service) and they did not initially remove the charge for the contaminated food.
Overall, we had a very poor experience and our birthday girl was left upset

We had several sushi rolls they were very good my favorite was the avocado roll they are all delicious we had zero leftover. This place isn’t the prettiest atmosphere but I think service and the actual FOOD does make up for it. The place was packed and the chefs kept up like rock stars. We definitely will be back

The service and experience were top notch. We were lucky to get the Bluefin Sushi special. The Colorado Roll was excellent and our Salmon and Tuna Poke were very complete! Overall, we had an exceptional experience. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We love sushi and this was a top shelf restaurant. The owner was very helpful and attentive.

Wonderful! We sat at the sushi bar and watched them work. The gentleman who I presumed was the owner was instructing the chefs and working the crowd and was super friendly. The sushi was amazing and fun to watch being made. You could tell these guys take the art seriously and it showed in being at least a couple of levels higher in quality, taste, and presentation than the standard fair down here in Denver. It was a little pricey but I expect that for a mountain town and the ambiance and attentiveness more than made up for that. We are trying to buy a property in the area and my wife was on the fence until we ate here after looking at a place and it put her over the top. We definitely found our local sushi fix once we find a place. Thank you Sushi Nama!
