The service was great and the restrooms were clean..
I had two issues, one mainly it’s not a sushi place for me because the sushi rolls were just average and were not rolled good and kept falling apart plus the rice wasn’t good and the meat inside wasn’t a good portion so the price for all that wasn’t worth it..
A major issue and was alarming for me when there was a fruit fly was pestering me.. for me a restaurant that has a fruit fly teaching the dinning area means there’s smth wrong in the kitchen..
So for us it’s a last visit.. the sushi was better a few years back
But the staff are pretty friendly and the place is clean especially the bathroom
Edit: we did go back and I knocked one star off, because if this had been our first time we would not have given it but 3… The sushi was too loose and fell apart, also uneven cuts. The ramen broth was rather undeveloped. The yakatori this time was small flat pieces of chicken and we got the jumbo calamari – they came out looking like onion rings -okay- with barely any sauce and no lemon, they were just okay by my husbands standards and really chewy by mine. Our service this time was not good waited 20 minutes with my card in my hand for him to even acknowledge us, even though he kept going to the table beside us. So just know sometimes you get Sushi Nabe 5 stars and sometimes 3 but for the price it should almost always be on point and servers should be good.
We had made a reservation a couple days earlier, and had no wait at all. It was not crowded, and probably only half full.
I’ve seen people comment on the cost. Our meal was $113 before tip, which I think is reasonable for good quality food in a downtown location. We don’t drink so that keeps cost lower.
A good experience
