Sushi n Matcha Sho is the BEST sushi in Los Angeles. Everything is so fresh and delicious and the quality is top tier every time I come in. From the miso soup to the specialty rolls, you can really tell how much care and pride is put into the food they serve.
My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place by accident 6 months ago and it’s become our go to sushi spot. Despite living in Burbank, we try to make the trek to Sushi n Matcha Sho as often as we can.
Our favorites include the crunchy roll, rainbow roll, and the crunchy tuna rice, but the real star of every meal we have here has to be the Baked Crab Roll. The flavor is amazing, and the crab practically melts in your mouth. Additionally, the lemonade and matcha is to die for and pairs perfectly with anything you could order.
The staff is amazingly kind and the chef is an incredible talent, we love sitting at the sushi bar and watching him work anytime we come in.
If you’re looking for the best sushi in LA for a fraction of the cost of some of the other sushi spots in the city, Sushi n Matcha Sho needs to be the top of your list.

Everything was 5 stars. The quality of the sushi was heavenly. The Chef is a MASTER!!! Holy WOW. If you love sushi 100% it’s worth the visit. The specials are great as well. The staff is so wonderful and kind. I will 100% be coming back! I live in the valley and it’s so worth driving over the hill. If you go.. you will be back. It’s that phenomenal. Happy Eating! We had the Salmon Avocado Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Ikura Sushi, Unagi Nigiri, Ankimo Nigiri, Miso Soup, Edamame, Matcha Lemonade, and Matcha Oat Latte

This is Tokyo-Level sushi that I stumbled upon by pure luck—and it ended up being phenomenal! The deluxe chirashi was the star: an artful bowl of pristine cuts, each one impossibly fresh and perfectly balanced.
The chef (from Tokyo) is a true master—every detail reflects his skill and authenticity. Service was gracious and attentive without being overbearing, making the whole experience feel elevated yet warm. I love how much it feels like I’m in Japan, and the price is so reasonable for the deliciousness and high quality fish.
A hidden gem I can’t believe I found by accident—but one I’ll return to again and again even if I don’t live nearby.

Was craving sushi and decided to finally try Sushi N Matcha Sho! I got the Sushi Sho Special #2, with the QQBB Roll. So good! Really enjoyed the generous serving of salmon (better than most places around the area) and the freshness of the fish. Was also super impressed with the taste/size of the matcha oat latte and how complete the set meal was. Shout out for the thoughtfulness and attention to detail as well (they wrapped the wasabi in the leaf so it wouldn’t accidentally touch anything ).
I know this location has had a lot of rotating owners, but I sincerely hope that this one sticks around. The owners are so sweet and 100% deserve it.

Sushi Sho is the most authentic Japanese restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time, super easygoing environment, family run, great food. The pictures will speak for themselves, the sushi chef Mino said he’s been at it for almost 60 years now and it really shows.

If I could give more stars, I would! This was amazing, fresh sushi. The baked crab roll was melt in your mouth! It’s a smaller menu but everything is made to perfection for that reason. They also have sushi plates for 2 that allow you to explore the menu for a great price! All the classics done the best way.
Editing this months later just to say this is still AMAZING and regularly plans to come back to this spot after moving elsewhere in LA

*Delicious*. This is what a sushi bar should be. No fancy LA decor. No gimmicky Instagram chefs. Looks, tastes and feels like you’re in Japan. Highly recommended, especially if lunching solo.
