I know good sushi and this is it. The salmon nigiri portions were spot on and tasted delicious. The sushi rolls are massive and filling (the photo doesn’t do it justice). It is a small restaurant with limited seating, but absolutely worth trying out or getting takeout. Highly recommend.

Went in for lunch and had some of the MOST delicious rolls I’ve had in a long time. The presentation was beautiful, the server was one of the nicest, most attentive Ive EVER had! I almost left without giving the server their well deserved tip, so make sure you drop it in the box up front if you choose to. 10/10, planning on taking the 45 minute one way trip again in a couple days!

The food is great. However. The owner followed us out to our car and accused us of being “cheap” and not tipping. The problem is that I actually DID tip $7.00 on a $34 tab. A 20% tip. There are suggested tips on the receipt that you sign. Instead of checking the box next to a suggested tip, I wrote $41 on the total line. Mind you, the 20% was generous considering service was the BARE minimum, as it always is at this restaurant. In no circumstance should anyone be followed to their car over a tip. Disappointed that I will no longer be able to support this business.

Tried for the first time. Probably the best sushi I’ve had. Gyoza is great as well. Reasonable prices ($21 for everything pictured below). They were VERY busy when we went but they were working nonstop to seat people, handle takeout orders, and answer the phone. Was worth the wait.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The ingredients looked and smelled like they had just been caught. The presentation was phenomenal. The service was polite and friendly, and the chefs answered the questions I had with pleasantness. The rolls i ordered we competitively priced, and I haven’t seen a better deal for the quality in the 7 or so sushi restaurants I’ve been to in the last 6 months
It took me 7 pieces of the sunshine roll to figure out why I didn’t like it, and it’s because the lemon didn’t play well with my taste buds. I didn’t care for that roll because of my personal preferences
The other 3 rolls were magnificent! Amazing flavor, exceptional smell, and delightful to look at! My eyes were bigger than my stomach, though, so I still had 12 pieces left to take home. The issue with this? I was on a motorcycle with no saddle bags, and didn’t take my backpack. I had to position the styrofoam box inside my riding jacket with the seam down (to reduce spillage), and hope for the best.
To my pleasant surprise, when I arrived home, there was only some minor shifting of the rolls in the box when I opened the lid, and all the ingredients were still intact (save a bit of squishing). Popped them in the fridge, and a couple hours later, had a second sushi meal! I’m impressed with how well the rolls stayed together during the ride home! 10/10 will definitely be making the trip again soon!

Intimate dining experience with a great view of the sushi preparation area. The prices were great, and the portions were huge! We enjoyed the pork goyza as an appetizer, then received a ginger salad with our main meal. We had 3 rolls, all had a ton of flavor and large portions. Overall, would be back to try other menu items!

The sushi was fantastic! We tried five different rolls and they were all excellent. The atmosphere was way too quiet for a restaurant in my opinion but the food made it worth it. The service was prompt and polite. If you’re looking for giant rolls of quality ingredients this is the place.

Delicious sushi! Plenty of options and the staff was nice. It was extremely quiet due to no music playing, which was unexpected and a tad awkward. Their dishwasher wasn’t working so they were using disposable bowls for the salads. We were surprised that we got a salad because it wasn’t mentioned. The King Kong roll is MASSIVE! Beautifully plated food and we left satisfied. You get to see them preparing it (through fogged glass) but it was still a fun experience and great date night activity. We got the Cherry Blossom, Michigan, MSU, Dragon, and King Kong rolls to try and enjoyed them all.

I’ve been here more times than I can count. I travel the state and this is the best sushi there is. The pieces are massive and flavorful. Prices are great. Mom and pop shop. Seriously, come by.
