Reviews
Since most sushi comes two pieces per order, the staff split everything in half so we could share, and it came out nicely plated like in the photo. The fish was fresh and most of the sushi tasted good.
The only thing that caught me off guard was the uni and ikura portions. They were very small, almost like all-you-can-eat style portions, which was disappointing. All the other sushi pieces were a good size, so those two stood out.
Overall, there isn’t much to complain about. They also have a lot of drink promotions, which seems nice for people who enjoy drinking with sushi. The service was decent. The waiter didn’t check in very often, but was polite and fine overall.
I would probably come back again whenever I’m in the area.
Ambiance (4/5): The restaurant is clean and inviting with warm lighting and plenty of natural light from the windows. Seating is comfortable and makes for a relaxed meal.
Service (4/5): The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were seated right away. Service felt attentive without being intrusive.
Food (3/5): My coworker and I tried their special—buy one entrée or noodle soup and get 50% off premium sushi rolls. He ordered the chicken katsu, which came with miso soup and rice, plus the original dragon roll. I went with the spicy tonkatsu ramen and the super dragon roll.
The ramen had decent spice but the broth lacked depth—I wish it had more umami flavor.
Both rolls were flavorful, but there was far too much eel sauce, which made them overly sweet. They also didn’t include cucumber, which I think would add much-needed crunch and balance.
Portions are very generous, so splitting one entrée and one roll between two people is plenty.
Overall: A good spot with friendly service and solid value, but I’d recommend asking for sauce on the side. I might come back, though I’d probably tweak my order next time.
I had the chicken cutlet and it was delicious. The chicken was tender and the breading was neither burnt nor soggy. They brilliantly put the chicken on a tiny rack to keep it out of the adjacent salad dressing. The dipping sauce (like a katsu sauce) was very yummy. My wife enjoyed her chasu teriyaki as well.
In addition to the food being delicious, it was quite plentiful and reasonably priced. The servers were attentive and friendly. We we
will definitely be returning to sample other offerings at the excellent restaurant.
Great location across from Knotts Berry Farm plus later hours (closes at 10).
Next door coffee shop and Borneo noodles businesses are shuttered though.
Ramen choices include miso, shio base, pork broth and spicy.
I got a standard ramen with charshui pork clucks.
My companions got the black garlic ramen.
I liked the broth and flavor of my dish but was disappointed with how much char was on the pork, making it taste burnt.
Also the egg tasted very weird, like bleached or something.
All day special is half off sushi rolls, including hand rolls with purchased entree or ramen.
Kids menu came with a lot of food : fried gyoza, rice, Katsu chicken plus French fries.
Maybe it was an off night since food had issues , but overall well priced meal.
Lots of parking, well lit area.
Attentive staff and food came out quickly.
The food is excellent, with carpaccios that are smooth and bursting with flavor. The sushi quality is top-notch, and even non-sushi items like the spicy chicken were incredibly delicious — way better than we expected.
The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. Plus, the ambience is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a laid-back yet high-quality meal.
Highly recommend Sushi Mura for anyone looking for fantastic sushi and a great dining vibe. We’ll definitely be back!
Coconut Shrimp Roll, Chicken Teriyaki, Miso Soup and Corn Cheese were fantastic.
I ordered the Shoyu Ramen and the California roll from the lunch special. The ramen had the light yet flavorful broth that I was hoping for. The bowl was filling with a lot of ingredients for the price. If you like heavier broths, they offer Tonkatsu and Miso ramen and options for vegetarians and vegans.
I also ordered yellowtail sushi to start my meal, which I enjoyed. The sushi rolls looked interesting, and I hope to try them next time.
My first visit was pleasant and tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. I’ll be back.
The Japanese ramen was just okay, maybe because it used general ramen noodles,
I got bitten while eating, so I ate a lot of raw ginger that I got as a basic dish haha
But it also great !
I recommended this restaurant!!!✨
