We had a great experience at Sushi Monster in Montrose. From start to finish, everything felt relaxed, welcoming, and well taken care of.
The rolls were the standout — beautifully presented, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Each roll tasted fresh and well-balanced, without being overpowered by sauces. The nigiri and sashimi were equally impressive, clearly made with quality fish and attention to detail.
What really elevated the meal, though, was the attentive and friendly service. Our server was knowledgeable, checked in at the right moments, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling rushed or pushy. It made the entire experience feel genuinely enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a reliable local sushi spot with excellent rolls and great service, Sushi Monster is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.

This is our favorite spot to dine in if we are craving sushi and rolls it’s always always always fresh, the fish is shining when they bring it in. And when I say always, I mean we dine in here once or twice a week. The staff is so friendly. We have never been disappointed and honestly haven’t liked sushi or rolls anywhere else as much as we do it at Sushi Monster. We have tried almost the entire menu and everything is so good. It’s very affordable and the atmosphere is very friendly and warm. We usually get the hot green tea which they refill as much as you want. The green tea ice cream is great too.

I’m sorry but very basic rolls. No wow factor service was pleasant. The presentation was basic as well. The one thing that was very good and plentiful was the garlic edamame was very good.

Food and service was great. Limited metered parking close by. Free parking lot a few doors down. Lunch special $24. Exceptional because the fish was fresh and tasty, nice combination with rice and salad. Can’t come near as often as I would like to because it doesn’t fit my budget. Closed for a few hours in the afternoon. Busy at night.

Great customer service/amazing staff! Dog friendly outdoor seating. Food is solid. We ordered the dinner combo and got the salmon and beef teriyaki options. These are small portions than the single dinner beef teriyaki and salmon teriyaki dinner entree options; and do not come out on the hot sizzling platter. The sushi is about $6-7 per nigiri order (two pieces). The sushi quality is solid; but not write home amazing.

Sushi Monster is so good. The sushi always tastes fresh. The service is always exceptional. It’s a small restaurant, with a few tables and chairs outside. We also love their chicken udon noodles. We come back as often as we can.

We love sushi monster. the dumplings are like no other and the firecracker is absolutely amazing as well as garlic edamame. The owners are good friends with us and are nice people. service is amazing we sit down right away and order right away. the food is all so good. Definitely recommend!!

The service is fantastic. They are so attentive to your needs and very aware of what’s going on. Orders go in quick and come out right when you’re ready for it. Beers are cold and glasses always fresh out of the freezer. Sake perfectly warmed. Sushi fresh and for the quality you get you’d expect Beverly Hills bills, but they’re so fair. I love this place and it’s my wife’s and my go-to for sushi in the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena area, hell anywhere in the Valley. When they care so much about your experience that they run to pick up your dropped napkin to make sure you don’t use it again and get you a fresh one you know they care. When their eyes are scanning the room to find ways to improve your comfort and experience you know it’s genuine. Go and enjoy for yourself. We Love Sushi Monster.
