Awesome sushi spot in Houston! The line usually starts forming around 11:45 AM, so try to get there early. It’s run by an elderly couple, so service can be a little slower. But it’s absolutely worth the wait! The place is small, cozy, and very welcoming with friendly vibes all around.
The sushi pieces are bigger than average, so order wisely! Everything tastes fresh and made with care.
Love this place and will definitely keep coming back!

I recently visited this place, and it was a real gem. It’s a bit of a drive, but my friend raved about it, and I couldn’t resist checking it out.
The shop is run by a lovely older Japanese couple, and they don’t take reservations, so we arrived as soon as they opened at 12 pm.
The exterior might not be the most flashy, but the food inside is absolutely incredible! The menu is small, but everything is carefully crafted and bursting with flavour. The sashimis are cut so thick and fresh, they’re a sight to behold. And the best part? The prices are very reasonable.
I highly recommend this place, especially if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve always loved a good mom and pop restaurant. The sushi is wonderful, presentation lovely. Be patient. It’s a 2 person team working with a hustle to run the restaurant. It can be a long wait but was worth it!

Great Japanese food at a reasonable price. Small place, only about 10 tables run by husband/wife couple. Food came out quick and service was great. Quaint place, good for small groups.

The sushi was very good. I had the spicy salmon roll and crunchy spicy yellowtail roll. Everything was super fresh. The owners are very friendly and are extremely hard workers. The whole experience was worth the wait.

Good and rel authentic Japanese taste. But nothing groundbreaking tbh
Also the service takes incredibly long…don’t understand how people are ok to sit here 40min on work day during lunch and wait for food

Sushi is incredible but be prepared to wait. It’s a Japanese marriage, he only makes sushi and she serves and cooks the rest. Since being seated it took 1h 15 minutes for the sushi, so we recommend also ordering something like the Tonkatsu that is done faster. The wait is worth it, all the food was amazing, miso soup, tonkatsu, maguro and sake sashimi, spicy tuna roll and dragon roll (our favorite)

The sushi rice is better than any other sushi place I have been to. The portion is big. But service is a little bit slow.

Have known about this place for a while but didn’t visit until now, and I regret not coming here sooner. The place is small and a bit old, but clean and giving vintage vibe. I was waiting for about 30min for my food to come, not too long but also not too fast but because the place is owned and operated by only an old couple, it’s understandable. However, the wait is definitely worthy since the sushi is very delicious (and cheap!). The old lady is very nice and friendly, and even though she’s the only waitress, she gave excellent services.

I went here with my Japanese friend, we ordered sushi lunch, chirashi sushi, agedashi-tofu and isobeage( fish cake tempura). Everything was delicious and we both were very happy and satisfied! Food was very fresh and delicious! High quality food and very reasonable price! We arrived there 11:30am and waited outside, so the food came very fast too. Definitely come back again!
