Had a great time tasting Sushi Mi at their grand opening. Tasty fresh options. A little bit of a wait but definitely worth it. The owner personally prepares each roll!

They seem to have all appropriate licenses and permits, nice clean store. Pretty good deals for lunch. They have grab and go or made to order options. There are about 10 seats to sit at a counter seating location, or there are lots of spots out in the US Bank Plaza. It’s located on the second floor.

This is a very new restaurant that just opened up in the skyway. There are only two employees. They offer premade sushi and made to order sushi. The wait is not long at all. It’s not as busy as it should be. I hope this place makes it long term.

The quality of the sushi is extremely fresh. The price for the sushi is extraordinarily reasonable. And, the serving portion is exceptionally appropriate.

Visited Minneapolis for work and ordered a 10-piece nigiri set. For $16, it’s hard to find this level of quality and portion anywhere else. The rice was particularly good, which you don’t normally expect from this type of fast-casual Japanese restaurant.

One suggestion from a business perspective: the drink options are mostly water and basic soft drinks you might find in an office kitchen. Unless someone is traveling like I am, there isn’t much reason to pay extra for those. Adding Japanese drinks like green tea, oolong tea, or Japanese sodas could make the experience more authentic and help increase beverage sales.

This place is new to the skyway and I was excited to try! I had gotten there after 1:30pm so the sushi in the display was 30% and I got the crispy cali roll which only cost me $6-$7 after the discount was applied. Nothing fancy, but tasted fresh and is, imo, more authentic than some other skyway sushi. Will be going back and I’m excited to do so. Very nice people too!
